74) New Neighbors

Hey y'all I'm back again. I been sick as a dog for 3 days now but I'm feeling better right now so we gon get this imagine out the way hope y'all like it.

I was in my room listening to music when I heard something outside. I looked out of my window seeing a moving truck backing into the driveway next door to our house. I noticed a tall light skinned man and a teenage girl get out of it. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. She was just beautiful and it didn't look like she was trying to be.

Suddenly I heard my parents calling my name. I jogged down the stairs seeing my parents on the couch. "Yes"

"You, Kevin and Kaylan go say hi to our new neighbors and invite them over for dinner tonight" my mom says to me. "But ma didn't they just move in shouldn't we give them some time before we go over there"

"Fine go in like 2 hours"

"Ok"I went back up to my room putting my headphones back in daydreaming about the girl I just seen. I didn't realize 2 hours had basically flew by. I put on some shoes sweatpants and a t-shirt.

Kevin and Kaylan were both already downstairs watching Cartoons. "Come on y'all we gotta go introduce ourselves next door" they both jumped off the couch racing to the door. As I am walking to the door I am stopped by my mother. "Here bring this to them and smile Keith please for me"my mom says handing me a Lemon Meringue Pie. When did she even have time to make this? I thought to myself.

We finally leave the house and walk next door. We knocked once and waited for someone to open the door.

The door flew open revealing the tall man I had seen earlier. "Hey how can I help you kids"

"Hi I'm Kaylan Powers" she says reaching her hand out to shake his. "Hey Kaylan nice to meet you. You remind me of my daughter when she was your age." He says with a smile. "I'm Kevin"

"I see you play football huh what position"

"Wide receiver"

"Nice and who might you be sir" he asked me. "Keith Powers nice to meet you sir and my mom wanted me to bring you this to say welcome to the neighborhood and was wondering if you would like to come to our house for dinner"

"Well tell your mother Thanks for the pie and I'll try to make it to dinner my daughter might cook for us and I'm Aaron Emmanuel by the way"

"I'm not doing that everything is still packed away and where do you want this" the girl says walking in behind him with a laptop charger. "I don't care what you do with it but come here please" she walks up to him and he wraps his arm around her shoulder. "This is my daughter Yn"

"Hi"she says waving with a smile on her face exposing her braces. "Hey nice to mest you I'm Keith" I say reaching my hand out. "Nice to meet you"

"I guess we will see y'all tonight for dinner thank you"he says before closing the door. We walked back home.

A few hours later

It was now time for dinner so I was downstairs helping my mom. The doorbell goes off and my mom makes me open the door. When I opened it I saw Yn and her dad. "Come right on in my good people" I say in a fake African accent. She chuckled a little bit. "Follow me" I say in that same accent as we walked to the dinner table. Everyone was already at the table. "Family these are our new neighbors" I say with an accent. "Hi I'm Jennifer and you met my kids already and this is my husband Keith" my mom says standing up. "I'm Aaron this is my daughter Yn"

"Allo"she says like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. "Well have a seat and grab a plate"

We all sat down and started eating. "So where are y'all from"

"The nongated community of Texas" she jokes. "Texas huh must be nice Keith aren't you going to Texas for a football camp" my mom questions me.

"Yep"

"Oh you play football too"her dad asked me. "Yes sir running back"

"Nice"he says. "What made y'all move from Texas to Sacramento"

"Needed a change so I found a new job and moved here"

"Yn how you liking it so far" My mom asked her. "I haven't really gotten a chance to explore yet so I don't know how I feel except the weather is crazy here"

"Keith you didn't take get around the neighborhood earlier"

"You just told me to go over there you said nothing about exploring anything"

"Well you two should go out and explore be home at a reasonable hour please" our parents say. "Ok"

We both left going to walk around. "Well welcome to Sacramento the gated community of Sacramento" I joked. "This is supposed to be gated" she laughs.

"Of course not we basically live in the hood over here" she laughed. "Well this hood seems nice I like it" she says admiring everything around her. "You know if you keep staring at me your eyes gon fall out" she says. "Oh I was staring my bad I just think your beautiful"

"Thank you"she says with a chuckle. "And another place I wanna show you is an ice cream shop you wanna go my treat"

"Sure"

"Great our first date"I say putting my arm on her shoulder. "Really now a date"

"Yeah of course I gotta snatch you up before these other dudes do cause baby girl you is a blessing"

"Alright then whatever you say keith" she says with a smile as we walk to the ice cream shop.
