"Sure you're not cold?" The pink-haired man ask curiously as he watched Tyler cuddled up on the soft sofa.

"Well, m-maybe a little c-cold", Tyler lied. He wasn't cold one bit but he hoped that maybe Joshua would come closer to him, to warm him up. To improve his little act he pulled down the sleeves of his hoodie as far as possible, his hands disappearing as he folded them in front of his chest. He pulled up his knees until he was nothing more than a (cute) little ball all curled up on the couch.

Joshua smiled his pretty smile, tongue pushing in between his teeth while slowly walking over towards the sofa. Tyler's heart skipped a few beats when he realized his act might actually work.

Just before Joshua could sit down next to him, a loud noise disturbed them. Tyler's eyes grew wide when he realized it was the house telephone ringing.
Joshua gently put his hand on Tyler's shoulder, sending lightning through the boy's veins. "Shouldn't you go and answer it?" Joshua asked.
"Hm no-no, I d-don't like telephones, I-I", he stumbled over his words, anxiety growing thinking about answering the phonecall. Joshua squeezed his shoulder softly before smiling. "I'll get it." And he walked off towards the phone in the kitchen.

"Hello?"
...
"Yes, this is Joshua. Hello mrs. Joseph"

Tyler frowned. It was his mom. He watched the clock. It was jut before 5, she should be home soon, why would she call?

"Eh no that is no problem mrs. Joseph."
...
"Really, not a problem."
...

Tyler saw Joshua glancing at him, and he quickly turned back to the tv, but so curious what they would be talking about.

"Alright. Please be careful mrs. Joseph. We'll manage here."
...
"Okay. Bye!"

Joshua hung up the phone and slauntered back to Tyler, dropping himself next to Tyler on the couch. "There are some issues at church, with the snow, so your mom and mrs. Black are gonna help out there. She won't be back for another couple of hours. She asked me if I could stay a little longer." He smirked when he saw Tyler's pink cheeks. "I guess you're stuck with me for a little longer."

"Oh, o-okay", was all that Tyler answered but in his mind his thoughts were all over the place. He smiled. This was good. He didn't want Joshua to go anyway.
