Even though his mom was so sweet and supportive, and Tyler pretty much told her everything, this time he hadn't told her the whole story.
He knew very well there was no denying his crush for his next door neighbour, but he didn't tell her everything that Joshua did. Or said.
That was... too much. He couldn't even understand himself, how could he ever talk about it to his mom?

Hi sighed when he shuffeled into his room later that evening, getting ready for bed. As always he secretly glanced at the neighbours' house, just to catch a glimpse of pink. There was none.
He sighed again softly while closing his curtains.

He changed in to his pajama pants and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He watched himself in the mirror as he washed his face. As insecure as he was, he observed himself, wondering what Joshua saw in him...
He noticed his brushy eyebrows. His deep brown eyes, surrounded with long black lashes. His nose, that his mom always called 'the perfect nose'. His cheeks, this time not tinted pink. His lips. His plump, rosy lips. He gently touched his lips with his fingertips, unable to hold back a little smile when he remember the feeling of Joshua's lips against his.

With cold feet from the bathroom floor he quickly walked to his big bed, and swung the covers open to get in. Only then he realised a little pink memo on top of his pillow. He felt his heartbeat in his chest picking up, as he folded his fingers around the little piece of paper.

He crawled in his bed, sat cross-legged under the sheets as he read the little note.

Quickly he saved the number in his phone. The note said cute. He blushed. Joshua called him cute. Again. Even though Joshua had said it to him in person, this was just so... unreal.
Should he text right away? Or not? Maybe tomorrow? What should he say?

He couldn't sleep.
