A/N: i'm so very sorry guys for this huge long silence. I wish I had been able to continue much earlier but unfortunately my brain and wellbeing thought otherwise. So I apologize. I hope you guys are still interested in this book as its slowly nearing its end. I'm determined to finish the story, so please stick with me.

Somehow, this far, Dallon's previous threats had been empty ones. It was Monday, and Wednesday would be the last day of school. Or well, it wasn't even a schoolday. There was a performance planned from the schools marching band and choir, and after that just some drinks to start the summer. Tyler would've loved to not go, because, well... he'd rather be away from school than at school at any time.

But they were obligated to come, and free to invite family. So obviously most people would bring their parents and possibly grandparents and/or siblings, Tyler would just bring his mom.

"Tyler, dear?"

"Yes momma?" Tyler answered when his mothers face peeked around the doorframe into his bedroom. He had just brushed his teeth and showered, ready to get to bed.

"I really think you should invite Joshua to come wednesday."

"Momma, i'm-."
"He's your boyfriend Tyler. You shouldn't be ashamed of him, you should be proud, honey."

Tyler sighed and mumbled a soft "i'm n-not ashamed."

His mom stepped into his room as Tyler crawled underneath the sheets, and she sat down on his bed shortly. She gently brushed some hairs from his forehead and smiled.
"I know you're scared, but it's the last day of school and sure nothing will happen with Joshua by your side. I bet he'd love to join."

Tyler nodded softly an this mom softly pressed a kiss on his forehead before she stood up. "O-okay", he whispered and she smiled before walking out. "Goodnight honey."

So Tyler grabbed his phone, sighing softly. He thought about it a lot, inviting Joshua. On one hand Tyler wanted nothing more then to, well, show everyone what an amazing boyfriend he had. But at the same time it would just... prove to everyone they were right about him being gay? And he didnt know why it bothered him so much, because by now everyone at school pretty much knew, seeing Joshua pick him up all the time. Somehow, since him being gay had been the main reason for all his torture and bullying he doubted bringing Joshua.

But he figured his mom was probably right, sighed again and texted his boyfriend.

Tyler
Hi! So yeah, I was wondering if you want to come to school with me (and mom) on wednesday? Its like a little celebration thing for the start of summer...

Tyler
Its really lame so its totally okay if you dont want to, it is really stupid. Just some music performances and some drinks and well yeah

Even before he had the last text sent, his phone already buzzed with a reply.

Joshua 💕
Hey baby! Sure I will come, what time does it start? Shall I pick you and your mom up?

Tyler
Okay :) yeah! It starts at 2pm!

Looking forward to seeing you again my pretty boy! 💓 I miss you way too much already. Sweet dreams for now and ill see you soon! Love you baby.

Tyler couldn't help but smile at his last text. He was sure he would never ever ever get used to this and he sent a text back filled with hearts and 'I love you's'.
