Tyler's eyes grew wide, his jaw dropping. "W-what?!"
The boy's face made Joshua's heart break and melt at the same time. Disbelieve radiated from every inch of his being. He clearly couldn't believe what he just heard, and that was cutting through Joshua's heart. But his face was so adorable, being so stunned.

The pink curled sighed softly. He ever so gently stroked Tyler's cheek.
"I like you. A lot. Like a whole damn lot. I want you to be mine, and only mine, and I want to show and give you the world. I want to protect you and take care of you at all times. Because I am hopelessly in love with you, Tyler."

The boy's cheeks were so beautifully pink, Joshua was sure he had never seen a prettier color. Tyler stammered, trying to find words to respond to what the older just said. Clearly he was shocked, and Joshua was slightly anxious about his reaction. It took a while, Tyler not forming sentences, just doing "Uh" and "I" for a while.

"Do you believe me?" Joshua asked cautiously.

Tyler grabbed Joshua's big hand in his smaller ones, playing with strong, calloused fingers. "I b-believe y-you because I k-know y-you wouldn't l-lie t-to me. B-but I d-don't u-understand." He paused and swallowed hard. "I-I d-don't u-unders-stand why..." he spoke softly, his stuttering worse than ever and sighing in relief when the words were out.

Joshua hooked his finger under Tyler's chin, to lift his head so he would look at him again. "I am more than determined to show you why, Tyler... But I do need to know how you feel about me..." he nearly whispered, nervously. "Because I can't, if you don't feel anything like that... for me."

The boy took a deep breath, trying to avoid Joshua's gaze, but he had nowhere to hide. Joshua's heart fluttered the moment he saw the tiniest smile form on Tyler's lips. "I-i'm r-really n-nervous now", and he giggled. Probably because his nerves and feeling so awkward but Joshua needed him to say it. He needed to know.

The smaller boy looked back at his hands. "I. Uhm. I." He sighed before he spoke. So soft, so small, so embarrassed. "I t-think I-i'm inlovewithyoutoo." He just stuck the words together, and pushed them out as if he was desperately trying to get rid of them. "I-I j-just never f-felt a-anything l-like this b-before a-and..." he smiled the most adorable smile, big brown orbs looking up to the mocha ones. "I don't k-know w-what to d-do."

Joshua pulled Tyler closer, hugging him tight against his chest, lips nuzzling into thick brown locks to press kisses onto the boy's scalp. "That's okay. We'll figure things out okay? So will you be mine, Ty? Like officially?" He chuckled at his own sappyness. Tylers pushed himself away from the man a little to look up to him. "Y-you m-mean l-like... b-boyfriend?" Joshua smiled, his heart bursting open and millions of butterflies flying through his veins. "Yeah."

The boy pressed his cheek to Joshua's chest, feeling and hearing the man's heart slam wildly behind his ribs. "W-would y-you be m-mine t-then?" The man let out a breathy, caramel laugh as he wrapped his arms around the boy's smaller frame. "Ofcourse. I'm all yours."
