"Hey", Joshua smiled softly as he opened the door that sunday afternoon, to see Tyler standing there. The boy had his hands knitted together, nervously picking at his nails, which, to Joshua's surprise, were painted in a matte black. He seemed to be almost too shy to speak or even look up, and honestly it hurt Joshua a bit that the boy wasn't more comfortable around him.

He stepped aside to let Tyler get inside, and the boy did, taking off his coat and shoes. "Tea?" Tyler nodded, a faint smile visible. So Joshua headed towards the kitchen, and Tyler made it's way over to the living room.

Joshua's heart treathened to melt when he walked in with two mugs of tea, seeing Tyler curled up on the couch with the big teddy bear on his lap and meanwhile playing with Doodle, who tried to grab one of the cords of the boys yellow hoodie. He was smiling big, dimples and creases in his cheeks showing.

The smile faded to a small one when he noticed Joshua looking at him, much to Joshua's disliking. "I-I f-forgot m-my bear." He hugged him tighter. Joshua placed the mugs on the coffee table and sat down at the other end of the couch, cross-legged facing Tyler. He took a deep breath, reconsidering what exactly he was gonna say. He wasn't sure, but it looked like maybe Tyler did the same at that time.

"I think we should talk, Ty..." the boy nodded, cautiously looking up to Joshua, his face flushed because he really didn't want to be the first one to talk. Joshua took one of his hands into his own. "I think I want to say I'm sorry for what happened. But only because I think I have crossed a boundary and went to far. I made you cross a line and for that I am sorry."

Joshua frowned. Tyler looked surprised. Why was he suprised? He expected anything, but not this... "S-so y-your not m-mad at m-me?" Tyler's voice softly broke the silence. Joshua nearly choked. "Mad? Tyler, why would I be mad??" He squeezed the younger's hand.

The boy shrugged, looked away from the man's stare. "B-because I d-didn't d-do anything b-back..?" Joshua swallowed the lump forming in his throat. "Tyler. Please, look at me." Tyler hesitantly looked up, and Joshua waited patiently for Tyler's eyes to meet his own. "I am not mad Tyler. Don't ever think you 'have to' do anything to please anyone else. Don't ever do anything that makes you uncomfortable or that you do not really want. I'd be devastated if what happened yesterday only happened because you thought you needed to do that for me. Needed to please me. And I would never just expect you to 'return the favor', Ty. Never do anything if you are not 100% in to it."

He got Tyler's face between his hands, just to make sure he paid real attention and heard every word he said. "Did I want to do what I did? Yes. Would I want to do it again? Yes. Honestly, I won't lie... there's tons of things more I can think of doing Tyler..." he exhaled deeply. "But you know why that is, darling?"

Tyler didn't respond, but Joshua didn't really need a response yet anyway. The boy just looked into Joshua's eyes, expectantly, anxiously, curiously. "Because I am madly in love with you Tyler."
