Tyler woke up, heart beating a hundred miles an hour, chest tight and sweat slowly making its way down his temples. He sat up, his shirt sticking to his back, soaked, as he tried to regain his regular breathing.

He grabbed his phone to look at the time while rubbing his eyes, sighing when he saw it was only 2:55am. He couldn't get the images out of his head, of what he just saw in his dream. Ever since Joshua's house was trashed last Monday, he hadn't been sleeping well. He was exhausted.
It was early friday now, and another night with nightmares. This one had been the worst so far. Despite everything that happened, his mom wouldn't let him sleep at Joshua's during the schoolweek, and it only made Tyler feel more guilty than he already did. Joshua was alone, in his damaged house and with plastic as windows and... he just felt bad.

He just really needed to know if Joshua was okay. And not... dead, as in his dream. He dreamed that day over and over, but this time the outcome was way worse. As he had walked up the front porch of Joshua's house, the frontdoor appeared to be open. When he walked in carefully, calling for Joshua's name there was no answer. Just an eery silence. Cabinets had been pulled over, drawers emptied and the content scattered over the floor. He'd call for Joshua repeatedly, until he found him. In the kitchen. Dead. So very much dead. A kitchen knife in his chest and a pool of blood surrounding his lifeless body. Dead. His Joshua dead. And it looked so real.

Tyler swallowed, his eyes burning because of the threat of tears spilling. It was just a dream. Just a nightmare. Right?

Tyler
Joshua, are you okay?

Ofcourse for the first 30 minutes there was no response, it being the middle of the night and Joshua was probably (hopefully) sleeping. Tyler kept turning in his bed, not able to erase his dream. He wanted to see Joshua so badly, he hadn't seen him really after Monday, because Joshua had to work, play a show and arrange everything with insurance and fix his house. Tyler really wanted to help, but he had a big assignment for school, and his mom tried to convince him that was more important. Joshua had help from Brendon, but Tyler felt sad and left out, when he saw the two cleaning up the front of the house. Even though Joshua said it was okay over and over again and kept texting him, he felt useless.

He really needed to know if Joshua was alright.

Joshua
Baby, i'm fine. Why? Are you okay?

It was 3:41 am and Tyler sighed in relief. He texted. Joshua was okay. He was okay. He was... okay. Right? Tyler frowned, confused by his own thinking. What if this wasn't Joshua but the person who was in his house and killed- oh. He knew he was overreacting but he needed to be sure, 100 percent sure Joshua was okay. He took a deep breath, burying himself underneath the covers and pressed the little green button next to Joshua's name on the screen. He gotten a little more comfortable with calling Joshua, but he knew his boyfriend would probably freak out having a phonecall from Tyler at this time of night.

"Ty! Baby! Are you okay? Whats wrong?"

Tyler sighed happily.

"You're a-alright", he whispered, not wanting his mom to hear him talk.

"Ofcourse I am, sweets. Whats wrong, tell me?"

"Sorry I w-woke you u-up."

"I don't care Ty."

"I had a bad dream", Tyler whispered, even softer now, slightly embarressed to tell Joshua that this was why he called.

"Aw, i'm sorry baby. Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah, sorry, I-I just needed t-to know if you were o-okay."

"So you're still not sleeping well? Did you dream about Monday again?

"Y-Yeah. You... Ehm. Y-you were killed. D-dead."

"Ty."

"Y-Yeah?"

"I'm not dead, i'm not going to die and everything that happened is not your fault. Okay?"

"O-okay... D-do you still l-like me?"

"Fuck, baby, I love you okay? Even more than yesterday."

"I love y-you, Joshie."

"You're staying with me tomorrow night, right?"

"Y-Yeah."

"I'll keep you safe then, so you can get a good night of sleep baby."

Tyler chuckled softly, his eyes getting heavy now he was sure Joshua was okay.

"C-cuddles?"

"Tons"

"Hmm"

"Try to get some sleep now sweets, you gotta get up early. I'll pick you up at school tomorrow."

"Y-yeah okay. I'm sleepy n-now."

"Sleep well darling."

"Sweet d-dreams Joshie"

"Love you"

"Love y-you more."

"Nuh-uh", Joshua replied before quickly ending the call, a big smile creeping up on the boys face.

Tyler walked out of school that friday, behind two girls so he hopefully wouldnt be noticed. He already saw Joshua leaning against his car at the end of the street, but he wasn't the only one. The girl in walking in front of him poked her friend in her side with her elbow. "Look at that guy", she hissed. "Oh", the other girl only chuckled, both obviously staring at Joshua. "He's so hot!" She added and Tyler chuckled, his cheeks already flushing because of this second-hand-compliment. Joshua was hos boyfriend right, so he felt slightly proud after their comment.
"He is!" They kept mumbling and giggling while they walked down the street towards him, when Joshua suddenly noticed Tyler.

He smiled big, still making Tylers heart stutter everytime, and did a little wave. Tyler waved back, holding back his giggle when the girls also waved, probably thinking it was meant for them. "Ohmygod he waved at me!" The one hissed, immediatly standing still. It made Tyler bump into her, and she mumbled a sorry. Tyler just chuckled and walked by quickly, walking faster towards his boyfriend.

Joshua opened his arms to jump into, and ofcourse, Tyler did. He clamped his legs around Joshua's hips and his arms around his neck, Joshua quickly holding him in a tight embrace. "Hi baby", the older spoke softly before kissing Tyler sweetly. "I missed you!" He added, before kissing his boyfriend again and again. He had to put Tyler down eventually, the boy's cheeks a bright red when he wanted to walk around the car to the passengers seat. The two girls passed by him, jaw nearly dropped, faces practically pure jealousy.

Once Tyler got in, Joshua smiled big before leaning over to kiss his cheek. "I missed you, sweets. Prepare for constant cuddles as soon as we get home", he chuckled. "Y-you have t-to play a show r-right?" Tyler questioned. Joshua got the car on the road, on their way home. "Nope! Got cancelled, the venue had a fire so the equipment was ruined", Joshua shrugged. "So it is all you and me all weekend, and I got something planned." Tyler smiled. "W-what?"
"I'm not going to tell you, pretty boy. It's a surprise."
Tyler pouted, he really really wanted to know? "Don't pout", Joshua laughed, "makes me want to kiss you even more than I already do, and I can't right now because i'm driving."
"But..."
"Nah-ah. I'm not telling you. But its been too long since I took you on a date."

"D-did you see t-those girls?"
"What girls?"
"At s-school, walking in f-front of m-me."
"Uh. No, I don't think so.. Why?"
"You d-didnt? They were c-checking you out."
"Oh"
"T-they said y-you were hot."
"They did huh?"
"Did y-you really not see t-them? They walked r-right in front of m-me. T-they even waved w-when you did..." Tyler giggled softly.
"Nope. I only saw you."
"You c-could barely see m-me, I was b-behind them."
"I saw pretty fluffy brown hair coming my way, then a cute face with pretty pink cheeks, and thats all I saw until I had you in my arms." He chuckled. "I focus on the important stuff, y'know."
