A soft couple of knocks on the door woke Tyler up, and he tried to open his tired eyes. "Tyler, honey?" His mom opened his bedroom door and peeked around it. Tyler just hummed a bit, confirming he heard her. She stepped in, and sat down the edge of his bed, feeling his head with the back of her hand.
"I'm gonna leave for work in a bit, but I arranged for someone to look after you", she grinned.

Tyler perked up immediatly, hearing another set of footsteps coming up the stairs. She kissed his forehead before getting up. "I'll check on you when I get back... But you'll be taken good care of." She chuckled before stepping out his bedroom.

Tyler already heard Joshua's warm caramel voice from outside his door and he quickly buried himself under the 4 blankets again.

Joshua walked in and smiled softly, but didn't say anything. He got closer to Tyler and the boy nearly died of overheating when Joshua pulled his black hoodie over his head and threw it to the ground. His grey T-shirt crawled up a bit and a ridiculously strong v-line showed, and Tyler gasped.

The boy tensed up when Joshua pushed a few blankets aside, but crawling under just one. Tyler's back was towards the man, and Tyler didn't dare to turn, and he held his breath in anticipation.
He felt Joshua's hands slide around him, and the man brought himself closer. He slowly pulled Tyler close to his chest, and Tyler finally let go of his breath in a blissful sigh.

Joshua's arms were now securely around Tyler's body, and Joshua nuzzled his nose in to Tyler's hair. He sighed softly, warm breath tickling along Tyler's ear and neck. "Hmm, you smell really good", the man whispered while he folded his fingers into the boy's T-shirt.

Tyler's heart stuttered, his fingers finding their way tightly around Joshua's arms. He loved how small he felt in the man's arms. Or maybe, it was more that he loved how big and strong Joshua's arms and hands felt. He felt safe.

Apart from being sick, it was the most perfect moment. So perfect and safe, he fell asleep within minutes.

"Ty."
...
"Ty?"
The boy stirred softly, rubbing his eyes when he woke up. Slowly coming back to the real world, he pouted when he found Joshua standing outside his bed and he wrapped himself up in blankets to not lose the warmth.
"I'm gonna make you some soup, you wanna stay here or nestle on the couch?"

Tyler yawned and pushed two blankets aside, keeping the two others tightly in his fists against his chest. "Couch", he yawned again. On the couch he was closer to Joshua, if he was lucky he could even observe him in the kitchen. Much better than laying up here.

"Allright darling, let's get you downstairs." But in Tyler's surprise Joshua didn't turn and walk out, but he came closer to him and just lifted him off his bed, with blankets and all. The boy couldn't help but giggle uncontrolably and wrapped his arms around the strong man's neck.

"To the couch!" He ordered while pointing towards the door and the stairs behind it, now giggling even more. "Sir, yes sir", the pink hued answered, laughing.

Joshua walked out the door, carrying the boy all bridal style and Tyler couldn't stop his little giggles. As they headed down the stairs he pressed little kitten-kisses into the man neck and on his cheek, a bold move Tyler even surprised himself with, but it was just too hard to resist.
"Ew, no, don't spread your germs on me!", the man squealed, pulling his face away. Tyler's cheeks turned crimson red in embarrassment. Tears prickling. That, until he saw Joshua's face, who started laughing.
"Sorry, didn't mean to make you feel bad. Was just a joke", he explained and Tyler let go of a relieved breath. He giggled again and pressed a last kiss on the man's cheek.

Joshua gently put Tyler on the couch, giving him the remote for the tv. "I'll be back in a bit. Let me know if you need anything." Tyler nodded, and quickly grabbed Joshua's wrist before he could walk away. "T-thank you."
Joshua smiled a smitten-smile, and gently took Tyler's face in his hands. He pressed a kiss on the boy's forehead. "Anything for my boy."

Tyler couldn't help but grin big at those words and he quickly hid under the blankets.

He crawled back up when about 20 minutes later Joshua returned with two bowls of soup. "You want some bread?" But Tyler shook his head, and Joshua sat down at the chair next to the couch. Quickly Tyler sat up. "No, no, h-here", he patted the couch.

Joshua laughed. "If you finish that bowl of soup first", he winked. Tyler pouted but grabbed the bowl in front of him and started to take small spoonfulls of the warm liquid. "R-really n-nice, Joshua", and he meant it. The soup was delicious and in only a few minutes he finished the whole bowl. "Hmm, good boy", Joshua mumbled as he grabbed the bowls and brought them back to the kitchen.

When he walked back in, Tyler already patted the couch again, and laughed when Joshua started laughing. "Since you ask so nicely", he joked, before playfully pushing Tyler aside and dropping down on the couch. His feet landed on the coffeetable and he hung back relaxed, tapping his thigh. Tyler scooted down a bit, head resting on the man's (very musculair) thigh, both facing the tv. Joshua tucked Tyler in nicely, his hand afterwards softly caressing the boys hair.

--

Tyler fell asleep, and Joshua turned down the volume on the tv. He didn't need tv. He'd just watch the beautiful boy sleep.
When it was around 9:00 pm the frontdoor opened and Tyler's mom stepped back into the house. Joshua doubted waking Tyler up and, well, 'sit normally', but Tyler's little breaths were so cute, and his hands was squeezing Joshua's thigh every now and then so sweetly. He decided to let him sleep for a bit and hope his mom wouldn't mind.

She walked in, and stopped when she saw the boys on the couch, one very much asleep. She smiled towards Joshua, who just shrugged apologetically. She whispered, "maybe you can put him back to bed?" And Joshua nodded.

He managed to lift Tyler up again, without waking the boy. He carried him upstairs and gently put him back to bed. He hadn't heard Kelly walking up the stairs behind him. He didn't know she was watching in awe when he removed some strands of hair from the boys forehead and pressed a loving kiss to it.
