Joshua smiled fondly when Tyler took a few fast steps to get next to him, and shyly tapped the man's hand with his. Joshua welcomed Tyler's hand in his own, fingers threading together perfectly. The boy had to take a couple of quick steps ever so often to catch up, because of Joshua's big steps and him being constantly distracted by everything out on the street. People, cars, birds and most especially cats.

"A-are you upset w-with me?" Tyler asked suddenly as he was by Joshua's side again, voice soft and only barely audible over the random noises of cars passing by. Joshua stopped walking, making Tyler pretty much bump into him. "What? No? Why?" The smaller shrugged, mumbling things Joshua couldn't understand, no matter how hard he tried. But the bright red cheeks gave him a pretty good idea then about what the boy meant.

"You mean about this morning?"
Tyler nodded bashfully.
"Why would I be upset with you?"
"B-because I didn't w-want to... y-you know. T-this morning..."
"Ofcourse not. It was fine, Ty. You were embarrassed by Brendon walking in, I understand", Joshua answered, smiling softly as they continued walking.
"B-but y-you... y-you know... still w-wanted to."
Joshua chuckled softly, pulling Tyler closer to his side.
"Yes, obviously I did", he grinned. "Because you're really, really, reeaally cute and pretty. Very pretty."
Tylers cheeks flushed more.
"But that doesn't mean i'm gonna be upset with you because of something like that, sweets. We got time. Don't worry about it."
"B-but..."
"No but's baby. You don't have to worry." Then Joshua chuckled as he kissed Tyler's cheek and added a last whisper. "Or else you could make it up to me later", and he winked.
The boy gasped softly, squeezing Joshua's hand, making the older laugh. "We're here", he nudged Tyler's shoulder as he laughed, gesturing towards a pretty white house down the street.

"Yes! Tyler, you're here! I can definitely use some help", Sarah exclaimed as she had first hugged Joshua and then Tyler too. The boy smiled, watching up at Joshua as if seeking confirmation it was okay to leave towards the kitchen to help Sarah. The older briefly cupped the boy's cheeks in his hands to peck a quick liss to his pouty lips. "You go help Sarah make that killer risotto", and he smiled softly as Tyler practically skipped off to the kitchen.

"So", Brendon started as soon as they dropped onto the couch, "how bad did I ruin things this morning?" He chuckled when Joshua rolled his eyes. "Ruined it completely. Thanks again."
Brendon laughed his signature laugh, slapping Joshua's knee, that still slightly hurt from this morning. "Sorry", Brendon grinned, "really am. But there's always tonight." Joshua groaned softly, "Yeah well sure hope so, because I've been on edge the whole goddamn day." Brendon laughed even harder at that. "Not funny", Joshua answered, but laughed throughout his words. "I'm serious." Brendon smirked as he got up and tapped Joshua's shoulder. "I'm sorry. I hope you get laid and that you won't come after just a minute. I'll get us a drink now", and he scurried off, laughing and only just avoiding Joshua trying to kick his ass.

"But eh, J, being serious though, when I walked in this morning and Tyler ran off, I couldn't help but notice he looked pretty bruised? What happened?" Brendon's attitude had shifted from playful to serious once he got back from the kitchen.
"Yeah, that." Joshua sighed, rubbing his face with both of his hands. "Dallon got to him again. Thursday at school. He knew I was gone and he-..."
"Fuck."
"Yeah. His stomach and chest are completely bruised, he's living on painkillers."
"Shit J, thursday we picked him up and got food. He acted.. fine, I guess?"
Joshua sighed again. "Yeah. Same when you two picked me up from the airport yesterday. He just broke down once we got home and the painkillers had worn off..."
"Fucking shit. That guy is really asking for trouble." A short silence fell.
"It breaks my heart B, seriously. I don't know what to do anymore... Or not do."

The door swung open suddenly, Tyler walking in with a big grin on his face and a large cooking pot in his hands. "We'll try to think of something later, J. Let's eat", Brendon added softly before responding to Tyler with another big smile. "Food!!" He cheered. Soon enough Sarah followed with a big bowl of salad.

They sat down at the round dinner table, hungry-eyeing all the food on the table. Fresh garlic bread, delicious smelling risotto, and a beautiful green salad. "This looks amazing Sarah, Ty!" Brendon plated up food for everyone, sweet smile thrown towards Sarah. Soon they were all enjoying the food, Tyler telling enthusiastically about what they had prepared and how, and all the things Sarah taught him.

It wasn't that long before they had finished the main course and Brendon cleared the table, to walk back in with a big cake. "Woah. Do we have something to celebrate?" Joshua laughed as he saw the dessert being put on the table. Brendon dropped back in his seat and smiled big. "Well... actually."
The tone of voice made Joshua drop his fork, and Tyler looking from Joshua to Brendon fully confused. "B..." Joshua whispered when Brendon started talking. "We did kinda invite you over to tell you something", he glanced at Sarah, who's cheeks were flushed a soft pink. "So I guess what we wanted to tell you... Sarah and I got engaged."

For the first 3 seconds it was dead silent, and all you could hear were probably 4 hearts beating as maniacs. Then it was the scraping of Joshua's chair over the wooden floor as he stood up swiftly pushing his seat back, pulling Brendon off of his chair and embrace him in a crushing hug. All the while Tyler gently hugged Sarah and admired the beautiful ring with bright little diamond on her finger.

"Congrats B, i'm so happy for you", Joshua spoke softly before finally releasing Brendon out of his grip. He then hugged Sarah too, smiling big when she showed him her ring. "Showoff", he joked, nudging Brendon's shoulder. "No but guys, this is amazing. Really." Joshua smiled softly before sitting back down. He gazed at Tyler, zoned out as he watched the boy's dimpled cheeks from his bright smile. He snapped out of it when he noticed Tyler looking back at him, and quickly shifting his gaze, probably uncomfortable by how Joshua was looking at him. He gently got hold of the boy's hand, squeezing it and Tyler replied with a soft smile.

"One more thing, J. I need a best man... and I hoped you would want t-."
"Yes! B, ofcourse! I'd be honored to!"
Brendon smiled, even his cheeks now a soft pink, making Joshua laugh. "Look at you. Even you blush", he grinned, "all grown up."
