"S-so where are w-we going?" Tyler asked hesitantly, he didn't want to come across as nosy but he was just so very curious.

Joshua smirked. "Well, I figured out that you like Italian food... right?"
Tyler nodded enthusiastically, he loved pasta's and pizza's and ohhhh he really wanted pizza now!
"Good, good. Then just wait for one more minute, we are nearly there." Tyler pouted and he really exaggerated it. Joshua laughed. "Something tells me pretty boy isn't good with surprises", he teased.

"You ever been here before?" Joshua asked when they had been driving for about 30 minutes. Tyler hadn't really paid attention to where they were going, too focussed on his own hand in Joshua's and just the whole man himself. He looked outside the window and saw they drove into a small town, with a name he heard of but never visited before. He shook his head, watching his surroundings. "Hmno, I d-don't think so."

Joshua smiled and squeezed his hand softly, before gently releasing Tyler from his grip, to grab the steering wheel again. Tyler quickly retracted his hand to his lap, it felt so cold without Joshua's warmth. "Good. I want to surprise you. I think you'll love it here." Tyler looked up to him expectantly and curious. "It's almost as pretty as you", Joshua said, looking into Tyler's eyes before watching the road again.

Tyler blushed and looked down at his lap, corner of his lips curling up. "But I want you to close your eyes now okay? You can't open them 'till I say so..." Tyler looked a little spooked, and found Joshua's eyes, worry radiating from his face.
"Please? Don't worry. You'll love it."

So Tyler closed his eyes, a little worried but also very very curious. Within seconds he felt the car slowing down and making a sharp turn. They drove on slowly, a bumpy road. "Almost there", Joshua reassured him, with a gentle hand on Tyler's thigh. The boy's breathing hitched with the feeling and he could only wish Joshua wouldn't move his hand any higher.

"Keep your eyes closed, okay?" Tyler nodded nervously when the car stopped. "I'm gonna get  out now, and I'll get you out too, okay?"
"O-okay."

Tyler heard the door opening, Joshua stepping into crisp, fresh snow, and then the car door slammed shut. For a second he felt scared and stupid and what if Joshua was joking and just left him here and he'd be alone and-. The door next to Tyler opened, and strong hands folded around Tyler's wrists. "Careful", Joshua mumled and Tyler slid out the car cautiously.

Once standing outside, he couldn't refuse to ask. "C-can I open m-my eyes yet?" Joshua replied fast. "No, no, no, not yet. Almost. Here, hold my hand", Tyler felt Joshua's fingers against the palm of his hand and he latched on, "take two steps towards me, so I can close the door."
Tyler took two careful steps towards the caramel voice, the fresh snow squeaking underneath his boots.
Then the cardoor was shut and he heard Joshua lock his car.

Joshua changed the hand Tyler was holding, the other one now wrapped around the smaller boy's shoulder, and Tyler was pulled closely to Joshua's side. It made him feel warm and safe and he wasn't really scared when Joshua took some careful steps forward, leading the boy to their destination.

After maybe 20 steps they stopped. Joshua's hand disappeared, but not for long. Strong, warm hands were softly placed over Tyler's eyes, and he was pulled back a bit, his back flush against the man's chest (apart from thick winter coats ofcourse).

"Ready?" Joshua spoke softly, lips close to Tyler's ear, giving him chills and heart palpitations. Tyler nodded, his own hands softly placed on top of Joshua's.
"Okay. Open your eyes."
