"Tyler, are you ready?" His mom asked from down the stairs, slightly annoyed.
"Y-yes, momma, I'll be d-down in a minute!"

Tyler sighed. He didn't want to go to church today. He had to sit still for so long, and be quiet. Not that he was much of a talker obviously, but he would rather be at home playing his keyboard and sing.

He grabbed his dress shoes and glanced in the mirror one last time, to check on his tie. His mom was waiting downstairs, already with her coat on. "Hurry up Tyler, we do not want to be late. We have to leave now, with all this snow!"

"S-sorry momma", he mumbled while stepping into his shoes and tying the laces. He grabbed his coat while his mom opened the door for him. His mom locked the door, got in the car and just when Tyler wanted to step in too, he saw a flash of pink on the neighbours' driveway.

He quickly glanced over and the pink was brighter than ever. He caught the most heartwarming smile and after that a cute little wink. Tyler just giggled and threw a small wave before getting in the car.

He quickly grabbed his phone, his mom too occupied with wat hing the snowy roads to mind what Tyler was doing.

Hi... it's Tyler.
Did you dye your hair? It's pretty and bright, I really like it.

He quickly sent it, before he could doubt and change and delete. He immediatly felt anxious, not knowing how Joshua would respond.

Just before he could step into the church his phone buzzed. And since there was this no-phone policy at church he quickly grabbed it. And it buzzed again.

Joshua:
Hey cutie. I did, thank you. Not as pretty and bright as you tho :)

Joshua:
You wanna go get some food later today? I'll take you out  :)

Tyler wanted to do a jump of joy, but heard his mom telling for him to get in. He quickly typed.

Tyler:
Yes! Have to ask mom, church now. I'll text you

"TYLER! NOW?!" Tyler quickly slid his phone back into his pocket, smiling unwillingly as he walked over to his mom.
