(DAY 092) Things are still going well at Woodbury, despite it being over a week since I last wrote. I'll admit, Phillip had a good reason for not telling me about his trip last week. You know, the one that lasted 4 days and then when he got back wouldn't tell me about it? Well, I asked him about it multiple times since then, and I finally found out why it was a secret. This morning, I woke up and Phillip was gone, so I just got ready like normal. I went to my shift with Paul, but when I walked into Phillip and I's apartment, I saw this huge set up with candles and rose petals, and without any sense of hesitation, Phillip got down on one knee and started a whole speech about how he never thought he'd move on from his previous wife until he saw me. He said that the moment he laid his eyes on me when he found me, he could just sense that I was his soulmate and he would do everything in his power to make sure his queen was treated perfectly. I asked for a little more time to think, and I finally decided that I would love to be his wife. I told him about 20 minutes ago that my answer was yes, and he already announced to the entire town that the two of us were engaged. I can still hear people outside celebrating. We're throwing a party tonight, so I'll add some more to this later tonight.

I never thought I could be this happy. I still miss Merle and Daryl and Michelle like hell, obviously, but my new fiancé has just filled in those missing holes. I'll never forget the Dixon boys and my sister, and Phillip hasn't replaced them, but the pain of losing them is subsided by the new happiness for at least a little while. I never told Phillip about the Dixons, and I don't plan to, but I told him about Michelle in immense detail and he's very persistent about trying to find her. In fact, that was the other part of the trip. One, he was looking for a ring. Two, they drove out to Virginia to find Michelle. He said that Virginia wasn't bad yet, just a couple towns that were evacuated. Michelle should be okay, but they didn't find her.

Michelle would be so proud of me, though. She and Devon were very serious, and they were ready to move in together before even getting engaged. I was also so happy that she was happy. I can't even imagine the look on her face if I someday get to tell her about meeting Phillip and falling in love with him. Maybe there's even a chance of having kids. He did have a daughter who was bit before I joined the group. We don't talk about her much because I can see how much it hurts him when she's brought up. I never mentioned the idea of kids to Phillip, but I have a feeling he won't turn it down if I decide that's what I want.

I'm being called for by all the people outside our apartment. They really want to talk to me about being the Governor's new leading lady. Someone's already suggested they call me the First Lady. I don't really like it, but for some reason I want a snazzy nickname like Phillip has. But I gotta go before they bust the door down.

Party's over. It was crazy. Firstly, some of the hard-ass guys in the town came up with this new form of entertainment. They used an old factory in the town as a new fight club kinda thing. They call it 'Woodbury Arena'. For the first fight (I guess it was supposed to be a congratulatory show), it was Martinez against Paul, and they were fist-fighting and some of the other soldiers around the building were holding the geeks on poles as a threat. I was almost in tears because I was afraid one of them was going to die. About halfway through the fight, Phillip told me it was staged and fake and that neither of them was going to be actually harmed. I was relieved but I don't like that our replacement for TV or internet is watching some of our own people fight and hurt each other.

After all that happened, some of the women around camp had cooked a huge dinner for Phillip and I, along with a couple of our closest friends (Martinez, Paul, Karen, Shumpert, and Milton). Without much detail, a lot of wine got involved for Phillip, Martinez, and myself. Nothing bad happened, luckily. After dinner, we listened to some really loud music while we had plenty of guards watching for geeks. Phillip and I danced together so much my legs hurt. They'll probably hurt in the morning too.
