She never had much in her life that gave her a reason to care. High school sucked, but her family sucked more. Cory was alone in her world until she met Daryl and Merle. After that, she basically became the third Dixon. They were inseparable, of cou...
<<< (DAY 013) Last entry was two days ago. I stuck to my plan. I walked in the direction of Woodbury without a stop. I only got about halfway before a car drove by and spotted me walking along the road. They stopped and asked me what I was doing, which I explained vaguely. I was looking for safety. They told me their names: Phillip Blake and Caesar Martinez. I told them mine. Then they told me they're from Woodbury. In fact, Phillip's in charge of the place. The all call him 'The Governor', but he told me I don't have to call him that.
They gave me a ride to the place, and a ton more were showing up at the same time. It's already such a huge community. Phillip himself showed me around the place, then showed me which home I'd be staying in. He moved me in with a man named Titus and his daughter and son, Hannah and Conner. It's a big enough house that I get my own room, and Phillip apologized, saying he would've given me my own place but he wanted to reserve as much space as possible. Honestly, I have no problem with it. I'd rather be living with people than alone.
The house is full of food, water, drinks, and the power is still working here, too. Phillip said it'll go out eventually, but it hadn't in that town yet. He also invited me to eat dinner at his house tonight, which I'm pretty excited for. I wonder if he invites all his guests over for dinner.
I don't plan to tell Phillip about Merle or Daryl ever. He hasn't asked me much about my personal life and I kinda hope he doesn't. I wouldn't want to share too much about myself. I don't know, I just wouldn't feel comfortable giving out so much information to strangers. Then again, they literally rescued me so I don't have any reason not to trust him.
A woman named Karen just knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to go pick out some clothes from her wardrobe. I guess she lived here before the outbreak. I'm gonna go with her. I'll continue this later tonight. _________________
I just finished dinner with Phillip. It ended up just being us two. He said that he invited a couple more people to join us but none of them showed up. Karen gave me a couple nice dresses and some more shirts and pants since I didn't exactly have a lot when I left my house. I got some more underwear and she managed to find a bra or two that fit me. So I wore a sweetheart neckline black dress to dinner, and Phillip had made spaghetti and garlic bread himself. There were some leftovers since he was expecting more people, but he packaged them and let me take them back home with me.
When I got back to my house, Titus was quick to ask what was going on. I told him Phillip invited me to dinner at his house, and instantly he started accusing Phillip of liking me and favoriting me. Apparently, he never invited any other new guests for dinner. I didn't think about it too much because I doubt Phillip likes me or favors me over anyone else. But I'm tired, and I'm finally in a warm, comfortable bed, so I'm going to take advantage of it.

Waking up in an unfamiliar space was something we had grown accustomed to since the prison's fall. We hadn't slept in the same place two nights in a row since we still had a home. I had woken up confused just about every morning, but the sight of a ceiling above me was particularly startling. It wasn't the church's ceiling. It wasn't one of a house, either.
