(DAY 139) It's over a week since the global announcement and there's still no sign of any of my friends or family from pre-apocalypse. In this entry, I'm including a list of people I really hope to someday see again. These are people who could possibly reenter my life someday:- Merle Dixon
- Daryl Dixon
- Michelle E. August
- Chad J. August
- Devon Garner
- Clark TerrenceNote for anyone who finds and reads this journal - If you ever find anyone by any of these names, give the journal to them.
That's it. Those are the people in my life before the apocalypse that mattered at all. Well, I didn't care for Chad back then, and I didn't know Devon well, but I would much rather find them than not. Now, after I've found my way to Woodbury, I have a lot more people that matter to me.
- Phillip Blake
- Caesar Martinez
- Titus Olsen
- Hannah Olsen
- Conner Olsen
- Karen
- Shumpert
- Paul
- Milton Mamet
- Dr. StevensI also remembered recently that I met that one woman on my way to Woodbury, back on 11 AZ. There was a black woman with dreadlocks, a headband, and a sword of some sort making her way out of town. I doubt I'll ever see her again, and though I don't even know her name, she's on my list of people that could potentially reappear in my life.
That's all I have time for.
Signing out,
Corynn Elaine August (Jenner)
<<<"Cory?"
I was startled awake by a fragile, somewhat fearful voice. I opened my eyes and came face to face with Lori, who didn't seem too pleased by something. After blinking a few times and remembering all that had happened today, I sighed and rolled over, placing my back to her.
It was a little darker out but still light enough to see well. I had planned after the whole barn massacre to take a nap, but I hadn't planned to sleep all afternoon. After remembering everything that had happened, I wanted to go back to sleep and avoid Shane at all costs.
"What's up?" I asked quietly.
"They haven't come back yet. I'm worried," She murmured. I was very concerned for multiple reasons. First, I had no clue what she was talking about, and second, whoever it was that hadn't come back yet must've been important if she got me up because of it.
"Who didn't come back yet?" I questioned, my voice less groggy this time.
"Rick, Glenn, and Hershel," She stated, then paused for a moment while I flipped around to face her. "Weren't you awake when they left?"
"Lori, I really have no clue what's going on."
Now aware that she had to start from the beginning of the story, she sighed and explained, "Beth collapsed and Hershel went missing, so Rick and Glenn went out looking for him. I think they went to a bar nearby. None of them came back, though, and I already asked Daryl and he said no so I came to you-"
"Daryl said no to what?" I asked, trying to figure out why she had come to me.
"I was hoping you'd go out looking for them," She briefly told me, "I don't even want to ask Shane 'cause I already know what his answer is, and I didn't want to bring you into it because I already got you into so much, but-"
