"Scott, chill out, Mitch isn't in love with Kevin, it's going to fade away." Avi said, keeping Scott grounded by holding onto his shoulders.

"That doesn't make it any better, Avi! Kevin marked my Omega. My  fucking Omega!" Scott boomed. He let out a heavy breath. "I... I thought I could trust him..."

"They were both drunk, Scott, I'm sure they won't even remember it in the morning."

"Oh like, Kevin and Mitch won't suddenly be pulled closer together like the opposite sides of the magnet? They're both not going to want to leave each other's sides and...and what if Kevin falls in love with him?"

"You're not jealous of Kevin are you?" Avi asked.

"Of course I am, Avi! Kevin's much better at being an Alpha than I am! He's not going to be leaving in a year and a half to go back to war. Kevin knows how to cook much better than me, he's stronger, he's more than anything I could be. I wouldn't be surprised if Mitch fell in love with him." Scott sighed, falling onto the guest bed and placing his hands over his face.

"Scott, why'd you come back so early?"

"I felt something off. I knew Kevin had taken Mitch out to a club and his sudden eagerness to hang up the phone. Kevin didn't have an Omega to take care of anymore, he wanted to find someone else, that's why he took Mitch out in the first place."

"Scott, don't say anything you might regret." Avi warned. "Look, we don't know what really happened for this to lead up."

"I gotta go. Keep Mitch away from Kevin. Also, I'm taking your truck temporarily." Scott grabbed his things and hurried out of the guest room. He went to the front door, grabbed Avi's truck keys and stomped out of the house, slamming the door closed as he did.

-

Kevin placed down a glass of water a few pills on his bedside. He sat down in front of Mitch and stared down at him. Mitch let out a whine and turned onto his opposite side, opening his eyes and looking up at the Alpha. He squeezed his eyes shut as a pain coursed through his head and he whimpered as he turned onto his back.

"Here. I brought you something to help you. There's also crackers and other hangover curing foods in the kitchen." Kevin said. Mitch nodded and sat up to reach over for the water and pills then gasped as his neck throbbed. He felt his heart beat faster and he placed a hand on his neck, the warmness heating up his hand.

"Did... W-What happened?" Kevin sighed and moved Mitch's hand. He then leaned closer to Mitch's neck, placing his lips on the Mark as gently as possible. A wave of pleasure ran through Mitch's small frame and he gasped loudly, his eye colour going from brown to blue in a single second. Once he came back down from the small high, he scooted back to the headboard.

"N-No. You couldn't have, I-I wouldn't have let you." Mitch stuttered.

"Mitch, calm down, it -" Kevin tried to grab Mitch's hand but Mitch smacked it away quickly, his chest rising up and down quickly. Kevin stared at his hand then glanced up at Mitch with widened eyes.

"I-I'm sorry, Alpha, I... I-I got scared, I'm so-" The bedroom door opened and Mitch glanced over, Avi walking into the room. He then tried to scoot farther against the headboard.

"P-Please don't punish me, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hit him." Mitch said quickly.

"Mitch, chill out," Avi said, pulling his hands from behind him, revealing a set of clothes. "Come here. You're not allowed to be near Kevin. Trust me."

Mitch eyed Avi up and down. He held the bedsheet close to his bare chest and whimpered, looking between Avi and Kevin. He slowly got off the bed, reaching his hand out for the clothes. Avi handed it over and watched Mitch dress quickly before grabbing his arm and leading him out of the room.

Kevin heard the door shut and he clenched his hand into a tight fist before he released it. He shut his eyes and let out a deep breath of regret.

-

"Alpha, where is Alpha Scott?" Mitch asked, holding the two ends of his jacket together closely.

"He left last night." Avi handed Mitch a box of crackers and a bottle of water. "Eat."

"H-He was here?" Mitch hesitantly took the food. "Did he see... the Mark?"

"He was here when it happened. You two were too caught up in the moment to realise." Avi said. He sat down between Matt and Mitch, Matt reading a book.

"I... May I?" Mitch pointed to Avi's shoulder then to his head.

"Go ahead, Stray." Avi chuckled. Mitch turned onto his side, leaning his head against Avi's shoulder as he opened the box of crackers and munched on them quietly, both him and Avi reading over Matt's shoulder.

-

Avi peeked into the room to see Matt and Mitch still sitting on the bed, Mitch occasionally asking about the big words in Matt's book, Matt gladly explaining it to him. He noticed the scarf around Mitch's neck and he let out a deep breath before walking in.

"Omega. Scott is here, but, I'm not sure if he'd like to see you right now." Mitch's breath hitched in his throat and he got off the bed, scurrying over.

"Is the scarf alright? D-Do I look decent?" Mitch asked.

"You look fine. Don't worry, Scott looks a lot worse than you think, you'll be alright on how you look." Mitch followed Avi downstairs and into the kitchen. There Scott was, sitting on the barstool, drinking a glass of whiskey. He stood up to put the bottle back in the cupboard and Mitch could see how bad Scott looked just after one day.

"A-Alpha Scott?" Mitch squeaked. Scott's head snapped over and Mitch could see the dullness in his eyes.

"Avi, what the fu-. Why'd you bring him down here?"

"You need to talk to him." Avi said, pushing Mitch a few feet forward.

Scott looked over Mitch's frame. "Your scarf isn't hiding anything." Scott grabbed the bottle of whiskey he had just put up and left the house after taking Avi's truck keys he had meant to drop off.
