"Vincint, wait!" Scott said, getting off the couch when Vincint stood and rushed to the elevator though his prosthetic didn't bend when he stepped forward and he stumbled before collapsing back on the couch. "Vincint!" Scott didn't get his prosthetic to corporate in time for him to catch Vincint before the elevator doors closed and descended to the lobby.
Scott sat down and pulled off his prosthetic and set it on his lap. He sighed and leaned his head back, hearing the small pitter patter of Mitch's footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Alpha, Alpha! Look!" Mitch said, running to Scott and hopping on the couch beside him and handing his phone over. Scott holding Mitch's phone up to his face for a closer look. He saw a picture of Kevin and Nicole, both of them laughing with Nicole in Kevin's lap. The picture was taken from a far angle, possibly by Austin.
"That's very cute, love." Scott sighed, handing the phone back over and moving the ankle of his prosthetic around before putting it back on.
"Is something wrong?" Mitch asked, noticing Scott's tone.
"No, it's nothing..."
"Alpha... No more lies. You promised." Mitch said and raised his left hand.
Scott stared at the ring and ran his fingers through his hair as he let out a sigh. "It's Vincint. I told him Beau is missing and nowhere to be seen and he just stormed out and now I don't know what to do now."
"Vincint was here?" Mitch said, his mood dropping and he shut off his phone.
"Mitch, nothing happened," Scott said quickly.
"I know, sir. I trust you." Mitch grabbed Scott's bicep and kissed his cheek before standing up.
Scott smiled and grabbed Mitch's wrist then pushed him on the couch to lay on top of him.
"Alpha, I still have to clean my room. You always get mad at me for it." Mitch pouted. Scott stuffed his head under Mitch's shirt and kissed over his chest.
"You're beautiful, Omega. I hope you know that." Scott whispered against Mitch's skin as he trailed down and kissed Mitch's stomach. He lifted his head out of Mitch's shirt and brought one of the couch pillows to Mitch's side and rested his head on it and pulled Mitch's waist towards him. He kissed Mitch's stomach again before resting.
"Alpha?" Mitch asked after some time. He reached down when Scott didn't respond and felt his heart flutter. He massaged Scott's scalp and got comfortable before relaxing for his own nap.
-
"Alpha?" Mitch groaned, rolling from his side to his back and seeing Scott coming out of the bathroom, a toothbrush in his mouth and his hair tussled every which way. Scott saw Mitch sitting up on the bed and went back into the bathroom to rinse his mouth. Once he came back into the bedroom, Mitch was already on his feet, the bedsheets wrapped around his naked body. "What are you doing? It's nearly four in the morning."
"I know, love. I'm going out to look for Beau myself. I already have a bag packed. and I just planned to leave this morning."
"You didn't think to tell me? Scott, we talked about this..." Mitch said, stepping forward to Scott.
"I know... I know, Omega. I'm sorry. Beau is missing, Mitch. I can't just let him be out there, alone. The military gave up on him, Vincint gave up and I'm not going to. Beau is my best friend." Scott said with tears in his eyes
"You're not going alone," Mitch stated and went back to the bed to unwrap the sheets from his body.
"Mitch, please, I want you to stay here," Scott said, grabbing Mitch's shoulders to keep him from walking away. "The kids need at least one parent here."
"And I want to go with you. We can bring the kids, hell why not just bring Kevin and the others? We could road trip, enjoy some time together."
Scott stared at Mitch for a moment then nodded. "I'm sorry I didn't talk to you before, I was just nervous, thought you wouldn't approve." Scott leaned down, tucking his head into Mitch's neck. Mitch wrapped his arms around Scott's torso, kissing his shoulder.
"Don't be scared anymore, Alpha. I'm here for you."
-
"Everything packed?" Scott asked as we went into Mitch's room with his own suitcases.
"Yes sir, I just need to get a few more toiletries. Five minutes?"
"That's fine. I'll be downstairs, getting some snacks." Mitch watched Scott leave and he smiled before going to his bathroom and gathering his face wash, his shampoo and conditioner and just simple necessities he knew he'd need later on.
He stretched his arms out as he yawned them zipped up his suitcases. He swung a few bags of his shoulders then drug his two main cases down the steps, having to go back up for his third one.
"How many days did you pack for?" Scott asked, pointing at his two suitcases while he stared at Mitch's five.
"These two are our shampoo and stuff because you always forget to bring them when we leave, this big one is my stuff, the smaller one are my shoes, dresses, anything feminine I'd like to keep away from other stuff so it doesn't get mixed and this one is the baby's diapers, wipes, clothes and toys.
"Hmm." Scott said, dragging Mitch's suitcases to the elevator. He went to the hallway leading to the guest room and opened the closet. He pulled out a cart, unfolded it and pushed it over to the elevator.
Mitch watched Scott stack their suitcases and he walked over, grabbing Scott's arm. "Are you okay?"
Scott turned around, letting out a sigh. "You know, you don't have to come, Mitch. It's not going to be as fun as you think."
"I want to come." Mitch assured. "I don't want you to be alone with this. What if you wolf out again? You're going to be all alone, possibly somewhere we or someone else can't find you. I want to be there for you."
Scott smiled shyly and leaned down, kissing Mitch's forehead. He went to kiss Mitch on his lightly chapped lips but heard a cry. He looked down to see Cody crawling over to tug at his pant leg.
Scott crouched down, picking up Cody and holding him, the baby turning over to lay his head on Scott's shoulder.
"They're probably tired. They did wake up early." Mitch said, rubbing Cody's back before going to the couch where Bailey and Quinn were falling asleep.
"Oh, love. There's a duffle bag in the back of my closet, can you fill it with some pillows and blankets?" Scott said before he pressed the button to call the elevator.
"Watch the babies?"
Scott nodded, watching Mitch hurry upstairs.
