"What's happening?" Scott asked, putting his glasses on that helped him see in the dark and noticed Mitch was blindly pulling his clothes on.

"Nicole called this morning and said she needed to see us immediately. I was going to wake you up and go make some early breakfast before we leave so you have time to freshen up."  Mitch grunted, patting his hands against the dresser and groaning when he dropped his open case of contacts on the floor.

"Turn on the light, love." Scott put his prosthetic on, stood up, and went to flick the light switch  to turn the light on. He went over to Mitch and saw him shaking a bit. "What is wrong? You're so fidgety this morning." He got on his knee and picked up the case of contacts and picked up the contacts from the carpet.

"She said there is an investigation going on that might include us. I'm scared."

"There's nothing to be scared of, love." Scott stood up, fixing Mitch's messy hair with his free hand and kissing his forehead. "I'm going to call in and get you another set of contacts later today. Just wear your glasses for the next few days."

"They hurt my nose..." Mitch whimpered, going over to his bedside and opening the top drawer to get his glasses. "The babies won't wake up for another half hour but can you keep an ear out for them?" Mitch went over to the bassinet and took the one and a half month old out of the bassinet, holding him close.

"Yeah, of course." Scott watched Mitch leave the room and he grabbed one of his shirts out of the laundry basket and threw it on the ground where the stain was at.

He stepped over it and went back to the bed, laying down and getting a few more minutes of sleep.

"Hey!" Scott jumped awake when something fell on his stomach and he pushed himself into a sitting position to see a stack of clothes on his stomach. "Come on, Alpha. We have to get to the police station."

Scott huffed and fell back on the bed before standing up. "Sorry that I wanted a few more minutes of sleep."

"Later. You can nap with Noah after he gets his lunch." Mitch walked over, standing on his tippy toes to kiss Scott's jaw. "Now hurry and dress."

Scott changed into the clothes Mitch gave him then put his shoes on. "Shorts? In this weather? Trying to get me frostbite on my legs?"

"Leg. It's pretty warm today and all your jeans and sweatpants are dirty." Mitch said, walking over and cupping Scott's jaw to get the Alpha to look at him. "If you're that cold wear one of my dresses. You'd pull it off."

Scott rolled his eyes and Mitch kissed his forehead and snickered. "Where's Noah?"

"You didn't come downstairs so I had to strap him to the vibrate-y thing and he fell right asleep. Came up here to wake you up and check the kids."

Scott stood up immediately and grabbed one of his zip ups. "Don't leave the kids by themselves, remember Nicole said the kidnappings were coming up again?" Scott ran into the hallway and peeked over the stair railing, sighing in relief when Noah was sleeping soundly.

He hurried down and picked up Noah and cradling the child in his arms. "It's okay, baby..." Scott cooed when Noah whined. He saw Noah's diaper bag on the couch and he sat down, making sure everything was inside of it.

"Alpha, come help me with the kids, please?"

Scott went upstairs, going into the nursery. He opened Midge's crate, the dog crawling out, yawning and stretching before wagging his tail. He then left the room and went downstairs. Scott held Noah with one hand and took Bailey out of the crib. The baby got her balance then reached up, grabbing Scott's hand.

The two left the room for Mitch to take Quinn and Cody. Scott helped Bailey step down the stairs and he let the baby roam so he could unlock the doggy door for the dog to run out and do his business on a grass pad Scott had put on the patio.

He looked down at the sleeping child in his arms then placed him on the couch, surrounding him with the blankets and putting a few pillows on the floor. Scott went to the kitchen to make a quick and easy breakfast for the kids.

"No!" Scott looked from the island bar where he was peeling some oranges to see Mitch trying to get Quinn to go down the steps. He chuckled when Mitch tried pulling her arm but the baby yelled again before running off into one of the rooms.

"Come do this for me, love. I'll get her." Scott called, rinsing his hands.

-

"No," Scott said simply. "He is still a newborn. Even if he were older, I'm not placing my son in that risk."

Nicole turned to Mitch. "Mitchie, we really need this setup, once we find out where the babies are taken, we can shut them down for good. Please, Mitch. We need this." Nicole stood up and stepped towards Mitch as she begged.

Mitch held Noah closer to him and took a step back, his heels hitting Scott's shoes. "I can't, Nicole. I'm sorry, I can't let my baby be taken away."

"Alpha, I'm begging you, this could help take them down, put them away for good!"

"Omega," Scott rose his voice, stopping when the other officers in the room stood up straight. He then took in a breath. "Look, we'd want nothing more to help take them away, they scarred our children, if not mentally, physically. Cody only has half of one of his eyebrows, scars littered over his back, many of Quinn's fingers and toes are messed up and dislocated, Bailey has a wide scar across the back of her head. I'm not letting Noah end up like them."

Mitch left the room, going across the hall where the triplets were playing with crayons and blocks of all sorts. Scott watched him leave and he turned back to Nicole.

"I'm sorry, Nicole but I can't help you with this."
