Scott jumped when crying came through the baby monitor. He looked down where Mitch was sleeping against him, whimpering lightly.
Scott stood up, making sure Mitch laid down comfortably. He turned down the baby monitor, strapped on his crutches and made his way to the stairs. It took him some time and effort, but he eventually made it up the stairs without getting hurt.
He hopped to the nursery and followed the crying, Cody in his crib, kicking his feet and whining. Scott picked up Cody and found his binky laying on the blankets. He moved to the rocker and sat down, discarding his crutches to the side.
Scott rocked Cody gently, sucking on the pacifier himself to rid of any lint before sticking it in Cody's mouth. Cody relaxed happily, leaning against his dad's chest. Scott smiled, rubbing Cody's cheeks, the baby grasping his finger tightly.
"Scott? What are doing up here?" Scott jumped and looked towards the door, Mitch in the doorway, his hair tussled every which way.
"Cody was crying through the monitor and no didn't want you to wake up so I came up here myself," Scott said looking down at Cody who was already half asleep.
"Alpha... You shouldn't be coming up the stairs like that. You could lose your balance."
"My legs and arms hurt don't get me wrong but I'm alright love. Come here, give me a kiss."
Mitch walked over and bent down, kissing Scott gently before standing back up. "Meet you back in your room?"
"Yeah." Scott watched Mitch leave and continued to rock Cody until he fell back asleep. He stood up and grabbed one of his crutches, hobbling over to the crib and setting Cody back down.
He grabbed his other crutch and went to his room, peaking inside and smiling as it was just the way it was before he left.
"Come on, the bed is nice and comfy," Mitch said, laying under the duvet and patting the empty spot next to him.
Scott hobbled over, set his crutches behind the bedside before crawling under the sheets. He nearly moaned at how soft his memory foam mattress and his blankets felt against his skin.
Mitch waited until Scott was situated to crawl over and cuddle against him. "I love you, Alpha."
"I love you, Omega."

"Look at how well Bailey walks," Scott said, holding Bailey by her arms as she waddled away from him.
Mitch grinned as she saw Scott on the floor, surrounded by the kids. He walked over with a plate of grilled cheese and sat beside Scott after grasping Bailey by her waist so she didn't walk too far away.
"They eat solid food already?" Scott asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Not by themselves. They like sucking on the cheese so I just take the crusts off and let them at the middle."
"Even though you can cook by yourself, it still scares me when you're in the kitchen by yourself," Scott mumbled.
Mitch giggled and prepared the kids' food as he ate the crusts for himself.
-
"Alpha. We don't have to do this. I know how much of strain it puts on you." Mitch said, swinging the diaper bag over his shoulder."No, it's fine, love. I want to go out with you and the kids. It'll be alright, I'll manage." Scott said, checking his phone to make sure the Uber was nearby before clicking the elevator button.
"Alright. Tell me if it's too much, you hear?" Mitch pushed the three seated stroller into the elevator and made sure the babies were strapped in properly. Scott followed behind, clicking the lobby button with the bottom of his crutch, the elevator moving instantly.
Scott stood in the doorway so they wouldn't close as Mitch pushed the stroller when they got to the lobby, earning several odd looks from bystanders. He rolled his eyes and followed Mitch out the building.
The large car pulled up, honking once to alert Scott and Mitch. The driver parked, stepped out and rushed over to help Mitch strap the babies in the car seats provided. Scott folded up the stroller and awkwardly hobbled to the trunk to put it up.
"Alpha, go get in. You don't have to do this." Mitch said, hurrying over to help Scott keep his balance. "I appreciate you helping but don't put that strain on yourself. I don't want you to hurt yourself." Mitch stood on his tippy toes, kissing Scott gently before getting into the car.
-
"Scott?" Mitch walked around the corner to see Scott sitting on a stool, the stroller beside him. Scott looked up from his phone and hummed when he saw Mitch wearing a pair of blue boots. "How do these look?"
He blushed when Mitch walked over and reached out to grasp his hips. "I don't see why you ask, love. You know I like everything you wear. They're beautiful, though see if they have a brown color, they'll match with more outfits."
Mitch smiled and placed his hands on Scott's shoulders to lean down and kiss him. "Thank you, Alpha. Let me put my other shoes on and I'll be back."
Scott stood up and strapped his crutches back on before walking around the stool to the stroller. He carefully pushed it over to where Mitch was, waiting for him to finish what he was doing.
Mitch put the boots back in their box and set it inside the little storage hammock at the bottom of the stroller. "Can we go shopping for you next? You need new shirts." He said, walking to the exit of the shoe store.
"How about we get some lunch? My arms are getting a bit tired, I need a rest." Scott said.
"Oh, sure." The two left the store and headed down to the cafeteria. Mitch and Scott made small talk as they walked, Scott grunting as he started to lose feeling in his hands.
Scott started taking bigger leaps forward, catching back up to Mitch since he was trailing behind. Just as he was about to be right behind his Omega, someone bumped into his shoulders harshly, Scott tripping on his crutch and falling to his side.
Mitch heard the sound and whipped around, covering his mouth when he saw Scott on his side, the hooded figure walking away. A bystander shouted at them and ran over to help Scott to his feet. Mitch ran over, grasping Scott's arm.
"Oh gosh, Alpha! Are you okay?!" Mitch said worriedly.
"No, I-I'm fine," Scott grunted as he felt a throbbing pain in his left bicep and turned it over to see the nasty bruise already forming.
"Here, let me help you, Sir." The bystander said, holding Scott up as he fixed his crutches.
Mitch turned around to get the stroller to follow to the two as they went the cafeteria but his blood went cold when the stroller wasn't where he left it.
