"Where is he?" Mitch whined, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he anxiously waited for Scott to get out of the gate.

"Be patient, Omega," Avi said, just as anxious as Mitch. Mitch heard the clicking of crutches and rushed forward, Scott coming out of the gate with his head down, watching where he was placing his crutches down.

"Alpha!" Mitch ran forward and wrapped his arms around Scott's torso, Scott nearly stumbling back and falling on his back though he kept a grip on his crutches. Scott shuddered and used his left arm to wrap it around Mitch's shoulders, planting his nose in Mitch's hair. He sat up when tears dripped down his face and wiped his eyes quickly.

"Oh god, Omega. You don't know how glad I am to see you." Scott raised his arm up to caress the side of Mitch's head and lift it up to look him in the eyes. Mitch reached up and trailed a scar that went across Scott's eyes and he frowned.

"I'm so glad you're alive, Alpha," Mitch whispered, shaking his head lightly. "If I lost you..."

Scott rubbed Mitch's cheek and leaned down to kiss him. When he pulled back, Mitch had tears streaming down his face. "You don't need to worry about me leaving you, love. Beau, the others, they'll win the war. Trust me."

Mitch nodded and tilted his head against Scott's palm. He looked down and he let out a shaky breath when he saw Scott's stump.

"Hey, don't worry about that." Scott said, moving Mitch's head up again. "Everything's going to be alright."

-

Scott collapsed on the couch and put his crutches on the coffee table in front of him. He heard Mitch's feet pounding up the spiral staircase then come back down with fresh clothes.

"Do you me to help you bathe in the guest room?" Mitch asked, pointing to the hallway that had a guest room at the end of it.

"I can get it. Can you just get me a chair for the shower?" Scott grunted and grabbed his crutches to walk to the guest room. Mitch follower, dragging one of the dining chairs behind him.

Mitch went into the bathroom first, set down the clothes on the counter then situated the chair inside the shower before stepping out.

"Just shout if you need me." Mitch said as Scott hobbled into the bathroom.

"Yeah." Scott gave a weak smile to Mitch before shutting the door. Mitch sighed and sat on the guest bed and ran his fingers through the duvet before laying down. It was nearly 2 in the morning and he stayed up just for Scott.

Mitch kicked his shoes, socks and pants off before crawling under the duvet and falling asleep as soon as he laid his head on the fluffy pillows.

-

Scott hobbled out of the bathroom and looked at Mitch who was asleep on the guest bed. He smiled and hooked his arms over his crutches to walk over to Mitch. He set the crutches on the night stand and laid under the duvet, gently shaking Mitch's shoulder.

"Love?" Scott whispered. Mitch grumbled quietly and turned over, cuddling up to Scott before he stopped moving again. Scott grinned and got comfortable, falling asleep to the sound of Mitch's soft snores.

When Scott woke up, the smell of bacon hit him in the face, his stomach growling instantly. He sat up in the empty bed and went to get off but saw a note on the bedside.

Making some breakfast in bed for us. Don't get up. At all. I mean it.

Scott chuckled lowly and threw the blanket back over his leg before resting himself against the headboard. It wasn't long before Mitch came into the room, a tray of food in his hands and his phone hooked under his arm.

"Good morning, Alpha." Mitch skipped to the bed and sat down, placing the tray across Scott's lap.

"Morning, Omega. Did you sleep well?" Scott asked, cupping Mitch's cheek and pulling him in for a sweet kiss

"I did. How do you feel?" Mitch asked, grabbing a piece of turkey bacon and holding it up to Scott who bit it gratefully.

"Better. Especially after that shower." Scott swallowed his bacon in just a few bites.

"Are you still hurting anywhere?"

Scott shook his head and moved the tray to the bedside and lifted the blanket. "Come here, Omega. I want to hold you."

Mitch crawled under the duvet and laid between Scott's thighs. He took a glimpse at Scott's right leg and took in a deep breath before leaning against his Alpha's chest.

Scott wrapped his arms around Mitch and held him close, closing his eyes to enjoy it as much as possible. "I missed you so much, love. It was weird, I've never actually had to worry about leaving someone until you came along."

" What about kevin and the others? Weren't you worried about leaving them before we met?" Mitch asked, sitting up and grabbing an eggo waffle off the tray and eating it in pieces.

"Of course I do, but if I were to die, they're able to continue on without me. You wouldn't be..." Scott said, staring at Mitch's scruff.

Mitch hummed and fed Scott a piece of the waffle. "I don't know what to say."

" You don't have to say anything, love. Why don't we go to the couch? Hang out there?" Scott asked.

Mitch nodded and climbed off the couch, holding Scott's crutches for him as he stood off the bed.

Scott walked out of the room, Mitch following behind with their tray of food. The two sat on the couch, Mitch tucked under Scott's arm as they played a show from the t.v.

Scott fell asleep soon after a few episodes, Mitch noticing when Scott's hand fell from his waist to the back of his rear end. He jumped and looked up at Scott, sleeping peacefully.

Mitch laid on his side, his head on Scott's thigh as he continued to watch the rest of the show. It wasn't long before Mitch felt Scott's hand slither back around his waist and he grinned, placing his hand on top of Scott's.
