JIA POV

"Once and for all, who is she in your life? That mystery girl you are with?"

I know time will come that they will corner me and I have to answer that real question. And I know I have to make things clear, once that real moment happens.

And that moment is right now. It has been two weeks now after the trip to Baguio. And we just finish another charity game, and we won.

I cleared my throath before I started to speak.

JIA: "Hmmmm. I know lots of people has been wondering, curious and even talks a lot this past few months about me and this so-called mystery girl."

The reporters were just been so quiet and looks so interested of what will I say. And so are the people in the venue.

JIA: "That controversy started with the pictures of me and the 'mystery girl' shown in the restaurant. And then so on and so forth."

People were so quiet and all ears on me.

JIA: "To end all your questions, curiosity and pakikialam. That mystery girl that people have been drolling over in the net is my girlfriend. The relationship between us is real."

And the people inside the venue ay nagsimula na ng kanya kanyang bulungan.

JIA: "Her name is Bea, and I don't intend to share in public whatever it is that we have in private."

I said it with emphasis.

REPORTER 1: "And that girl you are referring to is the one standing there?"

Sabay turo niya kay Bea na nakatayo sa entrance papasok ng court. Nakasandal siya sa wall at nakalagay sa bulsa ang dalawang kamay niya at nakatingin sa direksiyon namin.

JIA: "Yes, no doubt, that's definitely her."

REPORTER 2: "Infairness, your girlfriend looks so gorgeous and hot."

JIA: "Sabi nga nila. But she is mine."

And the audience clamor.

REPORTER 3: "The rumors have been circulating few months ago about the two of you, why addressing it only now?"

Biglang singit ng isang reporter. Maganda sana siya pero mukha siyang mataray at masungit. I don't like her.

JIA: "Well, it is because it is my relationship and I am the one responsible for it. Whether I am gonna say something about it or not, it is not your call."

Mahinahon kong wika sa kanya pero may diin. Kaya natahimik siya.

REPORTER 4: "Is it true that she is your secretary in your company?"

JIA: "Yeah, she is. And I am her boss. And we don't have a problem with that."

And that's it, time is up. Tumayo na ako at naglakad na papunta sa dug out. Pero bago ako makakarating sa dugout nadaanan ko si Bea.

She is looking at me nang malagkit. And I feel that the camera is still on me. Lalo't alam nilang madadaanan ko si Bea on the way to the dug out.

Pagdating ko sa tapat niya, inilabas niya mula sa likod ang rosas na hawak. Hindi ko napansin na may bulaklak siya kanina.

Iniabot niya ito sa akin na may kasamang ngiti sa mga labi. Yung ngiting nagpapacute, pero nakakapagpatalon ng puso.

Pagkatanggap ko ng bulaklak naghiyawan ang mga tao sa venue. Parang mga kinikilig na hindi mo maintindihan.
