Jack

2nd of June 2018. Mine and Brooks six month anniversary.

And I'd secretly arranged for us to go on a proper date, our first one, with the help of the boys.
It was needless to say that Brooklyn was absolutely clueless to the sneaking around and whispers that seemed to follow him around that last month.

Or if he did notice he didn't say anything about it.

Brook had fallen asleep on me in my bed again whilst we'd been watching Netflix and cuddling. I didn't have the heart to move him.

These were my favourite times, where I could just admire him; the stress lines on his forehead melted, his skin smooth, his hair slightly ruffled in a way that made me run my hands through it a few times; the times where I could trace shapes on his arms for hours whilst he slept, always making sure that I was doing something to keep him relaxed and calm, even though he was asleep.

The times where I would watch him wake with a smile on my face, sharing lazy kisses together as he fell back asleep for another five minutes before actually waking up.

And even the times where we fought. We would ignore each other for a day or so, knowing that if we were to talk we would argue over every little thing. By the end of the day Brook would always slip under my covers beside me and whisper how much he loved me, making sure that we both knew that we were fine, still together, that there was nothing to worry about.

The facetimes whenever we went home, not disconnecting until one of us fell asleep (and it was usually me), and waking in the morning to a goodnight text, so that whoever fell asleep would respond with a "good morning babe."

Or even the times on stage where we couldn't say anything because the fans didn't know, so the secret glances looks from across the stage became a common occurrence, the brief but meaningful fleeting touches as we swapped sides, the quick hugs that served to hide small pecks and kisses from the fans.

We were going to come out to the world tonight. The boys knew, as did Blair, and both our families, but it was just waiting for the right time to tell the Roadies.

I settled for a tweet of me and Brook later than evening, but I still had yet to decide on a caption.

Anyway, I'm actually starting to freak out now. Brook's in the other room getting ready for what he thinks is us all filming a nighttime cover, when in reality the boys would be dropping me and Brook off at Nandos.
I went for a pair of jeans, and a slightly flashier than normal button up shirt.

My heart was hammering in my chest.

I'd never taken Brook on a date before, mostly because there hadn't been anytime.
But really, we still had the rest of our lives.

I could tell that Brook was suspicious. We were sat in the back of the car with Andy on the left. My hands were clammy and shaking, and knew that Brook had picked up on it. He kept giving me sideways glances.
To play it off I quickly pecked his lips each time, causing him to smile. I rested my head on his shoulder, catching Rye's wink in the mirror which made me blush.

Luckily it was dark.

Pulling up outside of Nandos, and the questions started to fly.

"Please tell me we're not filming a cover in Nandos." Brook said, giving everyone an odd look.

Andy had to turn away to hide his smile. "Maybe you should go in and find out." He said, covering his mouth with his hand.

I grabbed Brooks hand as I opened the door. "C'mon guys, let's get this cover done." I said as convincingly as I could, making everyone laugh as they slowly made to get out of the car.

"You're joking Jack, right?" Brooklyn questioned, not entirely believing it.

The second I'd pulled Brooklyn free Andy slammed the door shut and Rye drove away. I hid a laugh.

"Oi!" Brooklyn yelled, wrenching his hand from mine and chasing the car. It was useless, by the time he'd taken a few steps the car was ready a shadow shrinking in the distance.

"Can you believe them Jack? They just left us!" Brook was fuming and I had felt my smile widen. He gave me an exasperated look.

"Why are you smiling? Are you-"

I cut him off by slamming my lips against his and gently pulling him closer.

"They left because I asked them to." I whispered, still smiling.

"Why on earth would you ask them to do that?"

The poor boy, he was still confused. I couldn't stop grinning.

"Happy Six months Babe." I said, and Brooklyn's eyes went wide.

"Jack, you... you did this for me?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper.

My boyfriend was splashed with the amber glow of a streetlamp, but he'd never looked so beautiful, eyes widening in understanding and awe.

"I love you Brooklyn, so so much." I murmered, cupping his cheek with my hand.

"I love you too... you're absolutely amazing Jack." He replied, and then we were both smiling like idiots, clutching eachother tight.

"Brook... you make me so happy."

He took a deep breath before replying.

"Why do you do this to me Jack? Why do you make me love you so much that my heart actually hurts?" He said, staring right into my eyes, searching for something...

"Because you deserve the world Brooklyn. You deserve everything and more." I finished, kissing him again.

Once we'd pulled away we leaned our foreheads against each other.

"Not let's go and have some food on our first ever date." I spoke, and Brooklyn laughed. We walked inside hand in hand, not breaking contact even once we'd sat down, reaching to hold our hands across the table in the corner.

A smile lit up my face the entirety of the time we were there, and I'm glad to say that Brooks seemed to get even wider.

Before we left we took a selfie after I'd explained what I wanted to do, and Brooklyn just kissed me again in agreement.

I tweeted the following.

(Imagine that there's a cute picture here of Brooklyn kissing Jack's cheek😂)
Six months later and I till feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I love you Brooklyn, so very much, until the day I die. You make me so happy, And I  don't know what I'd do without you.
I love you babe, happy Six months! 😘😍😍🍀🙊
