Rye

I never thought about my sleeping habits as a problem. There were some days where I would sleep fitfully. However the majority were often sleepless, or restless, resulting in a tired and clingy Ryan Beaumont for the next day.
I never thought about it as a condition.

I groaned in frustration.
4AM, and I had yet to fall asleep. We were leaving at 9... we were travelling to an obscure location to film a cover.
Even though I was exhausted, my body refused to sleep. It sucked. I felt my jaw pop as I yawned, but ended up smiling when Andy curled further into my side. I sighed softly. At least one of us would be awake tomorrow.

It had got so much worse these last few weeks, and I didn't really know what to do. I didn't question it at first, seeing as I had always struggled to sleep, but recently I had started to realise how it wasn't normal to go almost three days without sleeping.
I'd told Andy I was ill and that I couldn't sleep.
I didn't know whether to feel relieved or hurt that he accepted that excuse.

Instead of dwelling on it, I hid my face in the back of Andy's neck, pulling him closer to my body, so that his back was flush against my chest. I heard him mumble softly, and I froze, before he settled back down again. I nuzzled my nose into his neck, before pressing a trail off soft kisses down it, breathing him in.
His scent was enough to send butterflies fluttering uncontrollably in my stomach, enough to make my knees go weak, and enough to make me finally close my eyes.

"Rye... c'mon babe, you need to get up, we're leaving in thirty minutes." I felt a hand gently shake my shoulder, and I jolted awake harshly, feeling even more tired that I had before. Had I not been asleep these last few hours? Or had I just been dozing in and out of a state of unconsciousness? I had no idea.

"Hey it's me... It's just me alright." I looked up to see Andy, eyes focused on me, probably wondering why I had jumped so much. I sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, sighing heavily.

I was exhausted.

"Baby?" Andy murmered softly, and I felt him sit beside me, before pulling me into a hug. I cuddled into it, I always did when I was tired... I was always clingy.

"Sorry for startling you." He whispered into my ear, pressing his lips to my cheek. I chuckled then, lifting my head and turned to face my boyfriend.

"Don't stress over it." I cupped his cheek with one hand, tilting his head towards my own and our lips touched lazily, smiles etched upon both of our faces.

"You can sleep on the drive over if you're still tired." My boyfriend suggested. I nodded, not saying a word.

If I could I would. But how do I tell him that?

We both then stood up, smiling softly at eachother before I headed into my shared room with Harvey, who had left at around 5 this morning to catch a flight. The second I closed the door I slumped back into it, feeling my whole body grow weak and heavy.
This wasn't normal... this doesn't usually happen. I yawned heavily then, my eyes watering due to the intensity of it. Shower. I'd have a shower. If I was going to look tired, the least I could do was make an effort to look clean too.

The only problem was, I nearly feel asleep three times whilst having my ten minute shower. I felt myself slowly tilt, and that had been enough to jolt me awake, my heart thumping heavily in my chest. What the hell was this? Was this the exhaustion finally creeping up on me after these last few weeks?
