And also... Double update! Because neither of these were very long, so I thought I'd do two.😂❤️

Rye

The first thing I felt when I woke up was a sharp pain in my throat.
I went to swallow, but winced, already feeling tears forming in my eyes. It was like I was trying to swallow a knife, which wasn't a great sensation to wake up to.

I groaned, moving to get up, but I just collapsed back onto the bed. I tried to avoid swallowing at all costs, seeing as it just hurt so Goddam much, but no matter how hard I tried I always instinctively swallowed.
Wiping the tears from my eyes, I buried my face in my covers. My throat felt so dry, and sore... I'd never felt pain in my throat this bad before.

Opening my eyes, I could just about make out Harvey's passed out form in his bed.
Thank God that Harvey had come home a few nights ago...

"Harv?"

This is what I tried to say.

Instead, all that came out was a weird squeak, and I voicelessly cursed. My voice was so weak, so scratchy, that I knew from the noise that I probably wouldn't be speaking for a good few days.

Oh well... That meant no studio for me for a few days at least.

I felt bad doing what I was about to do, but at the same time I knew he'd get over it.

I grabbed my pillow and tossed it as hard as I could at his face. He jolted again with a shout, shock expressed on his face. He saw me then, and glared, turning back around.

"Why the hell would you do that?" He grumbled, and I couldn't help but laugh... And then it hurt to do so. I coughed, bringing my hand up to massage my throat.

"Harv." I weakly called, but it came out as barely a whisper. Wincing, didn't realise my cheeks were steadily growing damp.

"What?" He grumbled again. Harvey properly looked at me this time, and I could see his eyes go wide. "Are you alright?" He asked, sitting up. It always amused me how Harvey could go from literally being asleep, to being wide awake within the matter of seconds.

"No... My throat hurts." I tried to explain, but once again my voice failed me. I gestured to my throat and shook my head, hoping that he got the message. I wiped my eyes, hating how my throat felt like sandpaper.

"Is there anything I can do?"
Harvey leapt to his feet, his face telling me he would literally do anything right now.

I smiled weakly.
"Andy." I managed to croak out, but fire crawled up and down my throat. I wanted my boyfriend to cuddle me, and I knew that sounded whiney, but right now I was feeling pretty rough, and I just wanted someone to hold me.

Harvey didn't even respond. He just tore out of the room, and when I saw that the lights in the hallway weren't on, I realised that I didn't even know what the time was. I mean, it was light enough to see by, but that didn't mean that it was late.

I shivered, curling up beneath my covers, forgetting that I had gone to bed in just boxers the night before.

"Babe?" Andy appeared in the doorway, clearly tired, bed-hair, but I didn't care. He looked beautiful always. "Harv said you weren't feeling great." He knelt beside my bed, his hand in my hair.

Again, I gestured to my throat with my hands, hoping he got the message as Harvey had done.

"Your throat?"

I nodded, wincing as I swallowed again.

"Can I look in your mouth... I think I know what's wrong with you." Andy asked for my permission, wiping the stray tears from my eyes. "Aww Babe." He softly murmured.

I nodded, and squeezed my eyes shut, trying my hardest to not swallow. I opened my mouth, feeling his fingers gently prod my jaw, my neck, tilting my head up slightly.

"Yep... Tonsillitis." He confirmed, his hands falling from my face. He pecked my forehead, and I opened my eyes, hating how they kept watering. My throat burned something awful, and I screwed my face up in discomfort.

I'd never had tonsillitis before... So why the hell was I getting it now?

"Is there anything I can get you Rye?" He offered, his eyes soft, his face worried.

"You." I breathed out with a rasp. Andy chuckled. I lifted the covers, happy when he climbed under them, taking me in his arms. I nuzzled into his chest, enjoying the warmth he provided. His body was like a hot water bottle, but one that encased me.

"You're a sweetheart, you know that right?" Andy laughed as he tangled our legs together.

I whined, breathing shallowly, willing my throat to stop burning, to just stop making me cry.

I hated this so much, and I had only been awake for less than ten minutes. So much for an easy day in the flat.

"Go to sleep Rye... It won't hurt as much if you're asleep." Andy promised me, and I took his word for it. I trusted him with my life, after all, he was my boyfriend.

I wrapped my arms around his waist, clinging to him like a koala bear. I felt my boyfriend kiss the top of my head, and I hummed.

"You should get ill more often Babe... I've never seen you this cuddly before." Andy joked lightly and I dug my fingers into his side, making him squirm.

"Alright alright!" Andy protested, resting his head on mine.

In my opinion, this was still better than going to the studio.
