Rack, Maybe Railings Would Have Been a Good Idea

This was a request from Findingmikeyy... It made me laugh a lot, so I got cracking right away😂

Also, I tried to include MissTaken17's little addition... You'll see how well that went my friend :)

Rye

"Rye? You haven't seen Jack anywhere have you?" Andy knocked on my door and peaked his head around.

I peered over the edge of my bed, smiling in greeting.

"Yeah... he left really early to go for a walk, and he'll be back later." I told him matter-of-factly.

"Okay, how do you know this?" Andy questioned me, eyebrows raised. My heart pounded.

"He came in to tell me this morning, because he figured that I would be the only one awake that early." I explained, using one of my hands, seeing as the under was beneath me, holding me up.

"That's fine, well, I'll leave you too it then Rye." Andy smiled up and the left the room.

"Cheers, bye Fovvs." I called when he shut the door behind him.
Andy was the best for things such as personal space. I let out a breath of relief.

"That was smooth." Jack murmured.

I chuckled and turned back around to see my boyfriend slowly waking up. Luckily he'd had the audacity to not make any noise when he heard Andy come in; I assumed it was that that woke him.

See, myself and Jack were secretly dating. Not that we wanted to keep it from the boys, but because we wanted to see how long we could keep it a secret. Kind of like a test, of sorts.

But he was awake now, having joined me once everyone else had gone to sleep so as not to arouse suspicion.

But it appeared that Andy wasn't suspicious of anything just yet. Bonus.

"Morning Jackie." I whispered, pressing my lips against his.

I loved moments like this in the morning; or the rare moments that we were alone without the others. I mean, when we weren't alone we tested the waters, just to see how much we could get away with. But the boys never commented on anything, just giving us weird looks.

My boyfriend smiled cutely, and I stroked his cheek with my finger. "You're cute." I whispered, laughing softly at his blush.
A look grew in his eyes slowly, and a mischievous grin began to spread.

Before I knew it we were having a full on tickle fight, me pinning Jack to the bed, and relentlessly digging my fingers into his sides, waist, arms, legs... any part of him I could get my hands on.

The extra challenge was that we had to stay as quiet as possible.

Jack was fighting hard, bless him, and I couldn't stop laughing. But he got a good kick in, and I fell to the side.

I didn't clock how close to the edge of the bed I was until I slipped off with a noise of shock.

"Rye!"
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Jack lunge for me, fear in his eyes, now fully awake, but his hand grabbed the air that I had occupied literally milliseconds beforehand.

I hit the floor hard on my shoulder, gritting my teeth. The thud seemed to echo around my room, which didn't surprise me seeing as it was so big.

"Are you okay?" Jack had leant right on the edge, pale in shock. I gave him the all clear, before I gestured for him to hide.

The sound of feet running towards us grew louder, but Jack wouldn't budge.

Mikey burst through the door, and upon seeing me on the floor he ran over.

"What happened to you? Oh my God did you fall off your bed?"
Mikey questioned, sounding very close to laughter.

I didn't blame him, it was ridiculous. But I think he was holding his laughter back for my sake. I mean, I wouldn't really care if he laughed or not, but I did appreciate his restraint.

"Yes, I fell off Mike. But I'm alright... I think it's just bruising." I answered, nearly laughing myself. The number of times I'd said I wouldn't fall off my bed...

"Alright, I'll help you up then." Mikey offered, and I nodded with a smile, wincing when sat up, probably a bit too fast.

"You good?" Mikey held me up, and I nodded again.

"Yeah, it's just my shoulder. I landed on it." I laughed, mostly to myself. And for Jack to.

Speaking of Jack, I fleetingly looked up, but Jack still hadn't hidden. Well, perhaps it was time for us to tell the boys anyway.

Despite this thought, Mikey looked up and followed my gaze, before looking me right in the eye with a smirk.
"So, how long have you guys been a thing?"

"A few weeks. We wanted to see how long we could keep it a secret." Jack answered for me.
Mikey just laughed, but I was secretly happy that Jack was alright for now. I was fine, after all.

"If you're sure you're alright Rye, I think I'll leave you in the hands of your boyfriend." He patted my good shoulder a few times and stood, walking to leave the room.

He paused at the door, turning around. "Also, Rye?" He asked, his hand on the doorframe.

"Yeah?" I stood up, albeit shakily, but I stood. Another gleeful smirk spread across Mikey's face.

"Maybe railings would have been a good idea. Just saying."

Mikey shut the door behind him, and I could hear his cacophonous laughter trailing from outside my door all the way to the kitchen.
It wouldn't be long before the boys came snooping, I was sure of that. But we didn't care. It was about time that they knew.

I sighed in defeat at Mikey's comment, knowing that railings would be a good idea.

Jack laughed at me from my bed, resting his head on his arms and staring fondly at me.

I stuck my tongue. "Come and take care of me." I whined with a grin.

"Only if you promise to get railings later."

I sighed again, hiding my face in my hands when Jack laughed again.

The sound was music to my ears.
