Mikey

I panicked when I couldn't open my eyes. Usually when you've just woken up you blink slowly, before fully focusing on what's right in front of you. But that didn't happen for me today. No matter how hard I tried to blink my eye lids wouldn't open. All I could see was darkness.
I never thought that being blinded was so disorientating... but it was. I had no idea which direction I was facing, or how far in the bed I was.

I gently touched my face with my hands, pulling a face when I felt something sticky coating my eye lashes in clumps... was this why I couldn't open my eyes?
Anyway, what the hell was I supposed to do now? I couldn't see anything... I didn't even know what time of day it was, which was helpful.
Not.

I sighed. What was I supposed to do? I couldn't even go on my phone or my laptop to pass the time... I couldn't do anything.
Surely Andy was in his bed across the room from me?

"Andy?" I called, titling my head slightly to the side.

It's funny, how when one of your senses get taken away the others seem to heighten. It was due to that that I realised Andy wasn't in the room. His bed wasn't creaking. I couldn't hear his steady breathing, or his soft snores. No movement at all in the room.
Where could he be then? And if he was gone, could the others be gone too?

"Boys?" I yelled as loud as I could, letting slip a sharp intake of breath when I got no response. No. I couldn't let myself panic. I had to stay calm. I had to sort myself out, or find a way to deal with it.
I waited a few more seconds before I called again.

"Boys!" To my newly sensitive ears my voice seemed to be even louder, but you would be a fool if you couldn't hear the panic in my voice. I hated being so helpless.

And then I heard it. The sound of running water coming from the bathroom.
Someone was in the flat... having a shower? The bath creaked, and I let out a sigh of relief. There was at least one person in the flat with me. Now all I had to do was wait for them to finish. That must be why they couldn't hear me shouting.

I sank back into my covers, the panic in me slowly dissipating.
All I had to do was wait.

I knew it was Rye in the bathroom.
Maybe because the shower had turned off nearly thirty minutes ago, yet the door still hadn't unlocked. See, he likes to drip dry, which all of us found annoying. I swear he does it on purpose too, just for that exact reason.
It wouldn't surprise me.

I was getting bored just sat here twiddling my thumbs. Also my eyes were starting to become really itchy, and I was having to mentally restrain my hands from itching them. I didn't want to make whatever this was worse. I could also tell that my eye lids were sore, seeing as they had also began to burn. Not enough to cause pain, but enough to become uncomfortable.

And then the door opened.

"Rye?" I called, hoping that my guess had been right. Otherwise it would've been embarrassing...

"Yeah?" He called back, and I smiled, proud at my guess, but also happy that there actually was someone here who would help. And I knew Rye would help, because that's the kind of person he is.

"Can you help me?" I asked, hearing the edge to my voice. I cringed, but tilted my head to the side, waiting for his response.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a sec... lemme get changed first." He said before I heard his footsteps down the hall.

"I can't see!" I ended up raising my voice loudly, in hopes that he'd hurry up. I was getting restless.

"Give me two seconds Mikey! I'll be right there, I promise!" I heard the change to his voice, and knew that he'd stay true to his word.
