Requested by ManonFowler, so I hope you like it!

Just for reference... it is a disease involving inflammation of small blood vessels, and the inflammation causes them to start leaking. The spots that form look like small bruises or blood spots on the legs.

Andy

I whimpered the second I regained consciousness. Before I had even opened my eyes I felt the water build in them, felt the pain that enveloped me.

Without warning I let out a moan of pain, hissed.

"Andy?"

That would've been Brooklyn... he'd been camped in my bedroom these last few weeks while I got over a constant cycle of fever and headaches. He hadn't wanted to leave me alone, despite the risk of him getting ill.

"Andy what is it?"

I felt a hand on my forehead. It was cold, but not as cold as it had been before.

"Everything hurts." I whimpered, blearily blinked my eyes open.

I made eye contact with green for a fleeting second before I had to shut my eyes again.

"Hey, it's alright. I'm right here Fovvs." Brooklyn shushed me, stroked my hair.

I whimpered. "It hurts Brook."

"I know. Just breathe."

His hand stayed on my head for a while as I breathed, like Brook asked me too. After the exercise, I was able to find out where it hurt the most; it was a difficult job too.

"What hurts the most Andy?" Brooklyn asked.

I screwed my eyes up as I breathed through another wave of pain.

"My stomach. My knees... my legs mostly." I grunted, gritted my teeth.

I writhed beneath the covers, and in a moment of bliss the pain faded.

Only for it to spike back harder a second later.

"Alright, I'm taking the duvet off." Brooklyn warned.

I nodded, managed to keep my eyes open enough to gasp back in shock at the sight of my legs.

There looked to be spots on my legs? Only they weren't spots... kind of like bruises? I couldn't tell, because I had to close my eyes again. I clenched my hands into my pillow.

"Brook? What is that?" I asked, fear in my voice.

"It's nothing to worry about Fovvs," Brooklyn soothed easily, "I had this when I was younger... the fever and headaches make sense now," he said, stroked my hair again, "Now sit tight. I'll be right back." He kissed my cheek.

"Where are you going?" I panicked.

"To get some painkillers for you. Just breathe for me Andy." He called softly.

I did as my boyfriend asked, and a few minutes I heard him walk back into the room.

I blinked away the tears when I heard him come in. I was getting used to the pain by this point, able to block it out, kind of. Everything hurt.

"Andy I need you to sit up." Brooklyn said gently, and he helped me stack the pillows up.

I struggled to sit up by myself, so Brook helped with that too.

I rubbed my eyes with a hiss, slumped back a tiny bit.

Brooklyn sat on the edge of my bed, glass of water in one hand, pills in another.

"Take these, and I want you to drink the whole glass. You need something in your system." He offered me with a smile.

I nodded tiredly, not even having the energy to moan, or groan, or whimper.

It took longer than usual for me to finish the water, but ten minutes later I could feel the effects of the paracetamol.

The pain was still there, my legs were still stiff, everything still hurt, but it had been dulled enough for me to relax.

"Feeling better?" Brooklyn turned my head toward him, and I smiled when I saw his worried eyes.

He looked tired, but I knew that to be because he hadn't slept in a proper bed for weeks, choosing a hard mattress on the floor.

"Loads." I mumbled, rubbed my eyes when a wave of exhaustion took a hold of me.

I yawned. I heard Brooklyn chuckle.

"Go back to sleep then... I'll get in with you if you like?" My boyfriend asked, bit his lip.

I shook my head. "It's contagious."

"Trust me. It's not contagious. I've had it before Fovvs." Brooklyn easily replied.

I nodded and handed him back the empty glass.

We laid down together, Brook's arms around me, swaddled in pillows and blankets.

"Comfortable?"

I nodded into his chest, my head heavy and full of fog.

"Go to sleep. I'm not going anywhere." He stroked my hair again, played with the ends gently as not to startle me.

I managed one twitch of my finger before I was gone again.
