(Part two to the thunder au)

Jimin watches Taehyung with confused eyes, as he rushes around the room, throwing various articles of clothing onto his bed in a frenzy. "What the fuck are you doing?" he asks, his tone unimpressed, and Taehyung smiles awkwardly, saying nothing. "Why did you need my help?"

"I might have a date with someone," the younger says vaguely, beaming when his best friend rushes forward to give him a congratulatory hug.
"Who is it? Who is it?" Jimin asks quickly, and Taehyung feels the excitement rise up again within me as he thinks about it.

"Do you remember our meeting with those half Greek guys?" he says quietly. Jimin's eyes go wide as he realises what's going on.
"You're going on a date with the cute thunder guy?" he squeaks, rushing forward and giving the younger male another hug. "I'm gonna make you irresistible, don't you worry. How long have I got?"

Taehyung chuckles a little at his eagerness. "About an hour and a half. I knew you wouldn't want to only have a few minutes, so I decided to be safe and demand help now."

Jimin beams at his best friend, nodding in agreement and sifting through Taehyung's cupboard carefully, pulling out various items and laying them on my bed in order, his movements quick but organised and casual. The younger inspects the things he's got, and nods in agreement at every single one.

This is why Tae called Jimin. He knows exactly how to help him look stunning without causing any pain or issues. He can then apply makeup to Tae's face, so that it looks natural but only accents the best parts of him. Which helps, when he's trying to impress an attractive potential boyfriend like Jungkook.

When Jimin left to go home, after meeting the group of demigods, Taehyung sat on the side of the fountain in the park near his house, and entered Jungkook's number into his phone. He then called him (it was about two hours after he gave it to the elder so Tae didn't seem overly desperate but also looked interested).

Taehyung didn't leave that spot for another three hours, because the pair just kept talking for that long. His mother came out of the house to see where he was about two hours into this, and when she saw him on the phone, she put his dinner in the oven because she understands what he's like with people he's interested in.

He finds them, and he's reluctant to let them go.

Jimin persuades Taehyung to pull on a pair of particularly skinny black jeans with rips in them, over a pair of black fishnet tights. (His logic is that it will make his ass look good and his legs even better). He then grabs a white t-shirt, which has a large black star on the front and a small chest pocket, pairing it with one of his leather jackets.

"He is gonna drool when he sees you, honey, trust me on that!" Jimin squeaks, eyeing his best friend appreciatively. "You look hot as fuck."

The younger beams at his best friend, used to the other's attitude towards helping him work out outfits now. "Thanks, Chim. You're the best stylist ever." He smiles in return, telling Taehyung to sit down and pulling a few cosmetics out of a drawer in his dresser.
"Now for the finishing touches," Jimin explains, holding up the various makeup items triumphantly.

Taehyung sits there, completely still, as Jimin outlines his eyes expertly in a thin line of black eyeliner, drawing in a second (purple) line directly above with incredible precision. He then employs various powders and highlighters to make the younger's face more outlined and clear.

They're small but effective changes, ones that make the nervous Taehyung feel a lot better about himself and about his chances of having a successful date. And everyone knows that confidence is one of the most attractive traits for most people.
