I really didn't feel like being kidnapped again today. I was supposed to have my engagement to the Captain of the Royal Guard announced to the population of Pangaea an hour after I was grabbed from my room by yet another dragon. I mean. This is the fifth one this year. I'm tired of dragons, can't we have something more exciting? Like a hell hound? Or a siren? Or a kelpie?

At least this one knows how to fly without making me think I'm about to throw up. That's an improvement on the last few.

I'm set down upon a grassy clearing, the ground under my feet somehow soft and pleasant underneath my body. I can immediately tell that I'm further into the Faerie Kingdom than ever before, which does come as a shock, but honestly at this point it's not a bad thing. This country is so pleasant to be in, with its peaceful forests and mythical creatures.

The dragon settles on the grass beside me, cocking her head at me as if wondering who and what I am. She's a sort of silvery colour, with little ruffles on her neck and head which could be decorations or functional parts of her body, and her body is almost feline. She's so different from the others I've seen that I can't help being curious.

Why was I needed this time? And why haven't my siblings been chosen as a kidnappee for a good few years?

My head turns at the sound of rustling in the trees, and my eyes widen at the sight of a small orange fox with a tail which seems almost too fluffy to exist. It looks over at me, at the silver dragon beside me, with a similar disinterest in its shining eyes, and then slinks away into the shade again. It's only then that I realise the tail is made of several different tails. I'm not sure how many. But it's cool. Whatever it is.

I relax a little. The Kings I know wouldn't place me in any danger. I trust them. After all this time, it makes sense to.

And then, out of the trees, a tanned male with glowing amber eyes appears, a warm smile on his face, and any unease I was feeling before fades away. King Jung Hoseok is a werewolf. Son of a dryad. So he's a predator who can essentially melt into the forest without even thinking too hard about it. I'm not surprised that I didn't see him coming.

"Taehyung!" he greets me, crossing the distance between us in mere moments and enveloping me in a familiar and comforting hug.
"Hyung! Is everything okay in your kingdom?" I ask, slightly worried. He laughs a little, nodding to reduce my concern as we pull away from the embrace. "Why did you need me?"

"We were not the ones who decided that you needed to come," a soft voice says quietly. I spin round to see a familiar pink-haired royal pixie standing in the shade. His wings flutter ever so slightly, as if he's considering taking off, and then they freeze again.

"Jimin hyung?" I say, shocked by the fact that both kings are in the same place at the same time. Normally, I only get to see one of them. And yet this time, they're both here. But they weren't the ones who needed me.

So who was?

"It's good to see you again, Taehyung," King Park tells me fondly, hurrying over to give me a friendly hug as well. "I know you're confused, and surprised, but we need to wait for Jungkook. He will not be able to find us if we move from this spot. It is hard to explain, but even he would struggle and potentially get lost."

I raise an eyebrow. "You need us both?"
"Exactly," Hoseok puts in, coming to stand beside the other monarch in the clearing. The dragon shifts in her place, folding her wings over each other again primly, and I can't stop myself from chuckling a little at the idea that she's asking for their attention. "Oh yes, sorry Arya. You are free to go now. Thank you," he says quickly and politely to her.

She extends her nose toward both kings, before dipping down her head in a clear bow. After a moment of silence, she crouches before launching herself into the air, paper thin wings somehow keeping her airborne. She does a circuit around the three of us before vanishing above the canopy of the forest.
