request from Lia - a bit of little tae. I mean, who am I to deny that?

There's a sound from upstairs, and Jungkook looks up, sleepy confusion passing over his face before his brain kicks into gear and identifies it as someone walking on the landing. For a split second, he panics, thinking that his boyfriend is in danger, and then he hears the familiar voice calling out for him.

"K-Koo? Where'd you-"
"I'm downstairs, baby," he replies immediately, walking into the hallway and smiling fondly at the sight of the other male gingerly making his way down the stairs, an uncertain and slightly nervous expression on his face. "I didn't realise you'd wake up so quickly. I'm making breakfast. I didn't vanish on you, I swear."

Taehyung nods slowly, reaching out with grabby hands as his boyfriend offers a hand of his own, grasping the other's arm and shuffling the rest of the way down the stairs. "Koo did a vanish," he complains, pouting, and Jungkook shakes his head, kissing Tae's forehead gently.
"Oh, love, I'd never do that to you. I was making pancakes," he tells the older male reassuringly, watching with amusement as his boyfriend's face lights up at the sound of food.

"Pancakes!?" he repeats excitedly. "Koo made pancakes?"
"That's right, baby, Koo made pancakes. How old are you feeling today, sweetheart?" Jungkook checks, and Taehyung looks down at his hand, struggling for a second to count out his age on his fingers.
"Six?" he guesses haphazardly, and his boyfriend nods in understanding, leading him into the kitchen and lifting him onto a seat, smiling at the way Tae giggles and clings to his arm.

"Sit here for me for a moment, please, Tae," Jungkook requests, turning back to the hob and quickly flipping the pancake currently cooking (on perfect time because...well...golden maknae to the rescue). "Breakfast will be served in a few minutes. Won't take me long, I promise."

Taehyung beams, nodding in understanding and shifting eagerly on the chair, watching his boyfriend being awesome and cooking, a look of wonder in his eyes. As promised, the younger male is back with a plate full of pancakes only ten minutes later, covered in strawberry sauce and strawberries and caramel (just the way Tae likes them). His own plate is sorted over the next few minutes, using caramel and banana instead.

Well, he doesn't like to leave his love of banana milk behind, even if he's supposed to be the caregiver of the two of them. It doesn't really matter, he's allowed to enjoy some things that kids like, right? All adults have something they love from their childhood. He just loves banana milk.  That's all there is to it.

Anyway. Back to what's happening.

"Tae, baby, I think our friends were supposed to visit today, and then we're going to watch a few films. I then have work tomorrow-"
"Do you really have to go?"
"If we wanna stay in this lovely house, I do, I'm afraid. But if you're still feeling quite Little, Namjoon hyung said that he's willing to work from here - you know how he has an office at home. He can just work in my office instead for the day."

Taehyung pouts, and Jungkook sighs, leaning over the table and kissing his boyfriend's cheek gently. "Come on, Tae, I can't stay at home every day. My boss would never let me do that. I try and work from home all the time, but visits are part of what I do. I can't completely stop doing that,"  Jungkook reminds him, trying his best to be as honest as possible without making the other male upset.

Much to the younger male's relief, he nods after a few seconds. "Doesn't mean I like it, but I guess I do like living here," he says quietly, "I'm sorry Koo."
"Don't be, baby," Kook returns quietly, taking his empty plate over to the dishwasher and stacking it. "I don't like it when we're apart either. It's not your fault. It's the whole 'people must be employed' thing and the whole 'money exists' thing that causes this. Not you."
