Chapter 22

"How did you know that was my favorite color Levi?" I stopped walking and asked him.

I could see him flexing his jawline and he lets out a breath. Then he looks at me.

"It was just a hunch, you know? A guess."

"No", I step closer to him, "every guy that I've been with. Every guy I've talked to has never noticed anything about me and here I've known you for a couple days and you know my favorite color"

"I pay attention to you" he says, his response making me question.

"Why?" I said.

"I don't know Kat" he runs his hands across his face.
"Maybe I see something in you that I've never seen before in any other girl"

Now I'm confused and also disappointed. Why me? Why is it always me? I guess the universe works in mysterious ways. Maybe I was meant to meet Levi because of the whole Daniel Gregg assault situation. Maybe it's time I stop pushing people away and let whatever is meant to be just...be.

We finally arrived outside and Levi was still by my side when we did. My heart started to race and I saw Ali tap Vi and she tapped Monica. They just stared at me and Levi.

"Hey Kat, why don't you introduce us to your um"

"Boyfriend" Violet whispered but it was a loud whisper and I gave her a glare and heard Levi laugh.

"Levi these are my friends, Monica, Violet and Ali" I told him and he ran his hands through his hair and said hi.

"Hii" they all said in unison. I rolled my eyes.

I then turned to Levi, "I guess I'll catch you later Kat" he says. I waved bye and he smiled, winked and left toward the door.

"Damn Katerina, your boyfriend is hot" Ali announces.

"Not my boyfriend", I say and sit down in the seat next to Monica. Violet and Ali on the other side, "and what would Jason say about you thinking my so called 'boyfriend' is hot?" I told her and she frowned.

"Kat you guys look like a legendary couple. Seriously, you belong together I would hate if you messed this up for you" Vi says to me

"Yeah and it's been a while right? Since your last boyfriend? Ali told us" Monica explains, I look at Ali who just shrugs.

Even though I was a little disappointed in the fact that Ali told my buisness, they were all right. I shouldn't mess this good thing I have going on up in anyway.

"I know. I'm just scared. He's probably had tons of girlfriends and I don't want to get caught up with someone who expects more from me then I can give" I say to them.

"Do what you think is right Katerina. But hey, we have have some good news" Vi smiles.

"What?"

"We are going shopping today. And also, there's a party down by the beach next Saturday." she tells me.

I smiled then. I have to say I was pretty excited about going shopping. I could use some new clothes if I was gonna stop pushing Levi away and actually take time getting to know him. And maybe I should ask him to go to the party next weekend.

After talking a little more, we got up and headed in the building and out the main entrance to the car waiting for us. It was a black range rover and it was assigned it's own driver. His name was Robert and he was very nice. We headed toward the closest mall which was about a thirty minute drive.

Monica, Violet, Ali and I pushed ourselves through the crowds of people waiting in the lines at the stores we went in. We also sat down in the food court to grab some quick food to eat.

"This is literally the best day ever" Monica says.

We all talked more until we decided to get up and continue shopping. Then we decided it was time to go. It was getting late anyway

We were riding in the car when Ali turned to me and said, "oh my god, I totally forgot Kat you have those cute lingerie outfits we got that day at the mall. You can totally use them"

"Alii!!" I covered my face which I'm sure was bright red.

"Awe Kat, we are super happy for you" Monica says for her and Vi and I can see the happiness on there faces.

"Thanks. But let's not get our hopes up just yet. Plus, what about you guys?" I say pointing to them.

"Don't worry about me, I just got out of a relationship and I am not looking for anyone in particular" Violet says.

Then we all turn to Monica. Her face goes red and she puts her head down, "I'm kinda crushing on Violets brother"

My eyes go wide. So does Violet's.

Then we all laugh aloud.

We finally arrived at the school and got out of the car after paying the driver.

We got our bags out the trunk and headed for the stairs. Then I saw Ali stop and I stopped and looked back at her.

  "Well girls this was fun. I can't stay but I'll see ya ladies later alright?" I frowned, I almost forgot Ali was in building B.

We said our goodbyes and headed for our rooms. Monica room was 300 so she  went the opposite way of me and Vi.

When we got to our room, I began to put my things away. I brought some cute shoes, a pair of heels, some dresses and a skirt, some jeans, and a couple cute shirts. As I put them away in my closet, I thought about what Ali said and I grabbed the Victoria Secrets bag off the shelf which was all the way in the back of the closet.

I took the bag and sat on my bed.

"Gonna shower really quick" Vi says, then heads for the bathroom before shutting the door.

I take the lingerie out and lay it out to see what she got for me that day. I have not looked at them since the day she brought them, I figured I should now. What the hell, why not Kat? Your soon to be boyfriend might like lingerie, I thought to myself. The thought made me laugh. What am I thinking? You've never worn these things before and no one has ever seen you naked either. What would Levi even think of me if I told him I was a virgin still?

Then my mind ended up elsewhere. How everytime I'm with Levi he touches my arm with his soft hands or when he touched my waist and told me he wouldn't hurt me. I bit my lip thinking about how his lips would feel on mine or how those dark gray eyes of his were so seductive.

  I stuffed the lace back in the bag and put it back on the closet shelf. Maybe I'll try them on some other time, I thought but for right now I'm gonna try to focus on some school work while I wait for Vi to exit the bathroom, then I'll freshen up and head to bed.
