Chapter 24

"So where are we going?" I asked Levi as he drove.

He kept his eyes on the road but then looked at me for a second and flashed those perfect teeth of his.

"There's a great pizza place twenty minutes from here that I think you should try" he said

I looked at him for a second, my hands together in my lap. Then I looked out the window. I was actually in the passenger seat of Levi's gray jeep. I still couldn't believe it at the moment. Levi Price taking me, just a regular girl out to lunch.

"Levi?" I said to him, still looking out the window, "why do you wanna hang out with me?"

I could see his smile fade and his face go dark. His hand tightened on the steering wheel.

He pulled up to the place and turned the car off and just sat there.

"I mean I know there's alot of girls, different girls that you would be interested in then me. I'm nobody"

"Katerina I'm nobody too. Seriously, I'm just as new as you are in this school. Why is it so wrong for a guy to take a girl out to lunch?" He turned his gray eyes toward me

"Your not just some guy. Your Levi Price, any girl would kill to be with you I'm sure" I said, looking into his eyes.

"I don't think your just some girl" he grabbed his keys and opened the door to get out. Then he walked around to my door and opened it, "come on" he held out his hand and helped me down the high step.

I let him shut the door and we walked around the car to this building. It was called Dough Rollers. We went inside and found a table in the corner away from everyone. I sat down and he sat in the seat across from me. My eyes scanned the place and I could see it was green and white all over and of course there were pizza antiques from different places around the world, old and new.

"Hi, my name is Ashley and I'll be your server for today. What kind of drinks can I get you?"

I grabbed the menu and spotted the different drinks, "can I get a iced tea please"

"Sure, and what about you?" She looked at Levi and he asked for a mountain dew.

"Alright, and do you guys know what you want to eat or you need a minute?"

Of course, Levi did the honors and told her we would just have a cheese pie and two small fries. I just smiled and handed her the menu. She left and came back with our drinks.

Then Levi and I were alone.

"So", he looked at me and I swallowed.

"You said you had some things to tell me" I said to him, he licked his lips and folded his arms leaning back in his chair.

"No. Not yet, I wanna know more about you Katerina" his voice low and his gray eyes stared me down.

My palms started to sweat again, "there's not much to know, I'm sure you've heard what happened at my old school. That pretty much defines me"

"No it doesn't. I don't wanna know about what happened, tell me about you Kat"

So I did, I told him about my family at home and I told him about my friends and how life was growing up. I even some how told him about the guys I'd used to talk too. The last part caught his attention of course.

"So he left you because you wouldn't have sex with him?" I nodded in agreement.

  He raised his eyebrows. Then he started to grin and he sat up in his seat, leaning closer to me over the table, "and what about me?"

"What about you?" I said then, biting my lip.

I could see him look at my lips then back up to my eyes, "If I asked you to be my girlfriend, what would you say?"

I really looked at him now. What would I say? I would say hell yes. But I didn't want him to know that so I didn't say anything.

I laughed at him and sat back in the seat putting my arms on the table, "what if I said no?"

He smirked, "Is that the games we're gonna play here Kat?"

"Yeah, pretty much" I said, then he grabbed my arm and started playing with my bracelet again.

"Who brought you this? Was it a guy?" he asked me with a curious look on his face.

"No, it was my grandmother's and my moms and she gave it to me" I said looking at his hands as they traced my arm down to my hand. Then he stopped when Ashley brought the pizza and fries to the table.

We sat and ate and we talked more about everything. The classes, what it was we wanted to go to school for and other things. But I realized as we left the place that he never told me anything about himself. He was more interested in me than anything.

It was 6pm now, later then I thought. Time must've flew. Classes started tomorrow and we would have to be up early the next morning.

On the way back to the school, I remembered Levi said he had to tell me something so I took the time now to ask it.

"What is it you wanna tell me?" I asked him. As he drove, we held hands and I liked the feeling of our hands together. I didn't mind at all. Even though he hadn't asked me out properly, he just insisted on holding my hand while he drove.

"I'm leaving for a couple days and I don't know when I'll be back" he said, quietly.

That made my heart sink a little. I didnt know what to say at the moment. The party Kat, you forgot about the party. There's no point now. He won't be here so I'll be going with Monica, Vi and Ali. That was the original plan anyway, I never would've imagined talking to Levi would come to this. Ever.

"Don't worry, I'll be back as soon as I can. Just please don't get into any fights or anything with anyone" he goes.

"Who would I get into a fight with?" And then I thought about Victoria. The jealous bitch in calc class. She would sure make my life hell, especially with me being by myself in class.

"You know who. Victoria" he says and I laugh but on the inside I was still worried.

Arriving at the school, he parked his car and helped me out again. Then we entered the school and to my surprise there were still students walking around. Some were looking at us and whispering. I was glad I didn't see Victoria.

We made it to my floor and I was in front of my dorm room standing there with Levi close to me.

"Well see ya later Katerina" he said

I smiled, "Thanks for the lunch Levi" then I bit my lip again and I could tell it triggered something in him at that moment.

"Your biting your lip again" he swallows.

"You noticed? Sorry" I said. I don't know why I apologized. It was just a nervous habbit.

"Why are you apologizing?"

"Because you said I'm-"

He took one step toward me and grabbed my face with his soft hands. Pushing me up against the door, he kissed me. His soft lips fitting perfect with mine. I could feel my body heating up and then his cold palm touching my waist. The butterflies in my stomach fluttered and just as the kiss started, it was over. We stood there, breathless.

"It makes me want....you when you do that" he whispers, his mouth inches from mine. I could feel his breath on my lips, making them tingle. You can have me, I thought to myself. I couldn't say it just yet.

Then he let go of me, ran his fingers through his hair licked his lips and walked down the hall without looking back.

I went in the room and closed the door. I leaned against it and just smiled. I must be dreaming, I thought. I still couldn't believe what just happened.

"Well something good must've happened because your smile is as wide as your head" I heard Violet say and I looked at her through the bathroom mirror. Boy have I got some things to tell them tomorrow.
