I ran as fast as I could away from Levi, the party, my friends.I could hear him still calling my name but I didn't want to pay it any mind. I was just so mad.
And to make everything worse, my face was a mess. I had tears streaming constantly down my face and I kept on sniffing. I continued to run until I was alone and away from everyone. There was a huge rock on the other end of the beach and before I sat behind it, I made sure no one else was here.
I sat, and I started to think. I was thinking about Levi, but why? Why did it bother me so much right now? Because you care about him Kat. So, maybe I did. Even though he hurt me so much. I thought everything would be okay in the beginning. I thought we were okay until now. Now I just new it wouldn't work.
There is nothing Levi Price could say that would change my mind.
"Katerina!" I heard him say, and I could see him. He stood not close to the rock but a few feet away and he looked around. I didn't look at him or say anything. I just sat there on the sand with my knees to my chest and my face in my hands.
Then I heard him coming closer.
I lifted my head up and he stood there, looking down at me, "Katerina"
"What do you want Levi? Why can't you just leave me alone" I said, I probably sniffed like twenty times then.
He sat down beside me and I looked at him. He looked so handsome. Like a supermodel. His hair blew in the wind and his gray eyes were light and full of emotion.
"Katerina I'm sorry, please forgive me" he goes.
"For what? Forgive you for lying to me about everything?"
"What? No I never lied to you. I do like you, alot. I never lied to you"
"Sure you didn't. Tell that to Victoria then" I used my hand to wipe my face and I turned toward the water and looked out. The sun still setting. Its orange light was brilliant then.
"What did she tell you?" He said. I turned toward him and I saw that his eyes were darker now and he clenched his jaw.
"She told me that you gave her your number" I started, "she said you just wanted to use me because of what happened at my old school"
His face went pale then. He blinked and didn't say anything for a while. I guess it is true, I thought. Levi is a liar.
"Katerina..." he began, "that's not true. Look at me please"
I looked at him and a tear fell from my eye, "that's not true" he grabbed my hand.
"She's lying. I never gave her my number and I never said those things about you. And I never will"
"Yeah right" I laughed, "then how come you can't tell me about yourself?"
He let's go of my hand and stands up.
Then he puts his hands in his pocket and says "Come on"
"Where are we going?" I whisper.
"You want to know more about me, so let's take a walk" he waits for me to get up, "besides, the sun set is great"
We kept a small distance away from each other but we walked along side each other after Levi attempted to wipe my face but I didn't let him. I wanted him to tell me what it was he had to tell me about himself. The truth.
"So what do you wanna know?"
"Are you sure you didn't give Victoria your number?" I stopped walking for a minute and looked straight into his eyes.
