ThursdayTwo days, it's been two days since I've seen Cynthia. Two days since I've heard anything from David Collins, two days since I've last spoken a few words to Violet or Monica.
And theres two days left of classes.
I'm happy, I am even as I have no one to celebrate it with. Also my birthday which is Saturday, I still have no idea what to do but eventually something will come to mind. Mom on the other hand can't till I come home and she wants us to travel for my birthday even as I told her it wasn't a good idea.
"How about a little trip to another part of florida or maybe the bahamas?" She asked.
I shook my head eventhough she couldn't see me. I didn't want to travel yet and my birthday wouldn't be a good enough reason too, bahamas was always a place I'd like to go but it didn't feel right yet.
"No Mom," I laughed, "let's just stay home this year, I'm sure we can find other places to go here and the beach is always open"
"Yeah, its up to you honey you just let me know and if you change your mind about the vacation then we can still go"
That's why I loved her so much, she's so understanding and even Dad could be sometimes. I still couldn't get over the fact that he'd allow me to be with Levi before and after what he did. Maybe it was just that he seemed like a good guy which he was, he's beyond a good guy or maybe it was because his step dad was an officer.
His notebook comes to mind, I still have it tucked away in my things. The corner of my mouth lifts just a bit, I still have a piece of him even as he doesn't have me.
"Theres two more days left guys, I'd hate to see anyone fail this semester. Actually, I don't think its quite possible too" Prof Johnson strides at a pace across the room.
I watch her, silently along with the rest of the class. The only person who moves in the still room is Louis, he sits a couple seats over from me at another desk. I meet his eyes and he nods toward me, I can't help but shake my head reading his thoughts about her too big shoes. They'd been just right today, maybe because the final days have come.
"Next semester will be even more of a bust you know," her face flashes worry as she eyes every single one of us, "but that doesn't mean you guys shouldn't have a great time on break before you really decide on your life's future. Make plans, get to know more people"
She pulls on the vest she wears over her shirt before she moves toward her desk, her heels click against the clean floor.
"With that said, your dismissed"
A collision of noises seem to grow the closer we've gotten to the end of this week. Everyone had gotten up from their seats and quickly rushed toward the door, even the halls were louder.
"Please think about what I said" I hear another teacher yell across his room before their students come rushing into the crowds around the hall.
I throw my bag over my shoulder and head down the hall away from everyone.
"Want me to carry that for you?" I look up into Louis's cute face. He smiles, and I do the same thinking even though he's not Levi he's a good ass friend.
I shake my head, "I got it" I tell him and he nods.
"Any plans today?" His question sounds low and convincing of some sort.
