Chapter 62

Just as the week started, it had begun to end. In the beginning, it flew by and now that we are reaching the end I don't want it to end.

On Monday, classes were easy and ended minutes earlier than the usual class times. Biology had been easy, Violet and I worked on our last minute projects together and wanted to finish before break even though we are supposed to turn our finals in by the last week of classes. Our Chemistry professor has been out for a while still and decided it was best if she'd show at the end of the week like today.

She explained to the entire class about what happened, why she was out so long and that everyone in the class would be excused of the last minute work we had.

"Just please do us all a favor and be careful out there in the world but also have a great Christmas break" she smiled at everyone as we all shuffled toward the door and headed out into the hall.

Every day during lunch, it was basically the same things. Eating in the courtyard or taking the food to the room or going out to find a place to eat but I didn't mind at this point. As much as I wanted to go home, the closer we got to the end of the week made me feel sick. Being around my friends kept me together and sane. They'd always know the right things to say and do to make someone else feel better and even though it'll only be two weeks for break, I know I'll still think about them. And just for having so many friends, I'd have to get alot of gifts for when we return.

Physics had been harder than I thought these last couple of days would've been for me. I've had more than one classwork paper to do and I needed to go to the library building to find the right book for it. Melanie offered to go with me and I didn't want to distract Monica from getting her work done in class so I told her yes. We found the book and I managed to finish most of the work I had with Melanie's help also. Which she said was the return from all the help and advice I had given to her.

And last, Calculus. I had continued to have the empty seat next to me, to myself which I was glad for. Louis had been talking to Melnaie more often these days, which I'm glad for also. I was practically the only person he'd say hi to in class when we'd see each other. His loyalty to Mel was great but who am I to have a say so? I'm not even in a relationship myself. I don't know, but I do know that Victoria has managed to keep her mouth shut also. The only time she had talked to me was when we had been assigned partners in Calc and she didn't have one so we had to work together. To my surprise, she didn't act like the queen bitch I had thought she would.

"Oh don't worry, after this class I'll be sure talk about you behind your back and spread rumors" she smiled at the same time everyone had began to get up and leave the class.

I only laughed at her when she said it, she was the last of my worry these days.

Break will be two weeks long and when we return theres about one week left of classes. Those are the days you finish all projects and work, of course, and you turn everything in. We could also check out class statuses, points and grades online in the week. They also allow you to fill out forms for next semester in sports or clubs or anything you are interest in.

Today is Thursday, and I say that because all week I have been trying to avoid looking and reading more into Levi's notebook but I couldn't, I just couldn't.

I turn 18 soon and school will end for me soon also. Why? Why do I still have this stupid book and why does it feel like I'm obligated to write in it? School ends and I'm thinking about getting my own place or moving in with Dad. Him and Mom split and now she's moved on from it. She tells me to call him more often and that the only reason she talks to him is to keep in contact for work which I already knew. She also told me he moved back to where he grew up, in Jacksonville. I don't blame him, maybe I should leave.
