When I woke up, I was facing toward the door of the room. The cover pulled over my entire body since the air in the room was so cold. My eyes scanned the room and landed on the red roses in the vase on my nightstand. Just the thought of Levi sending me flowers makes my heart speed up, the temperature in the room grew colder and I switched to my otherside pushing my body under the thick fabric again. Now my eyes stared into darkness. The only light that was in the room was coming through the window.
That was what I saw before red and white lights flashed in the window. I layed there for a minute and wondered what the light could be or maybe it'll go away but the more seconds that passed, the more anxious and nervous I became. I turned my body toward the nightstand again and the time had just reached 8am. I sat up in the bed and looked over into Violet's bed. She moved just a bit.
I crawled to the end of the bed and walked slowly to the window. I moved the entire curtain and down by the entrance of the building, someone was stretched out on a cart being rushed into the ambulance vehicle. I swallowed at the sight of the police car. The red and blue flashes blurred my vision the longer I stared. What if David's here?
"What's going on?" I turned to Violet's voice. She had managed to crawl to the end of her bed before she stood and came over to the window next to me. She rubbed her eyes.
"I have no idea, I just woke up to it" I told her. She continued to stare out but I moved over to the bed again.
"We have to get ready for classes" I said aloud.
"Kat..." she called my name but I didn't answer. I grabbed some clothes and made my way toward the door.
"Do you think David's here?" She asked me and I could feel her eyes on the back of my neck. I turned around to her and she looked directly at me, a worried expression spread across her dark face.
I turned my body back toward the bathroom and let out a breath, "no Vi, I don't think he's here" I say before I go into the bathroom and shut the door.

"Its already so late we have to hurry Violet!" I whisper yell at her as we stand in the breakfast line.
She chuckles, "how did this happen and we woke earlier than usual?" she raises an eyebrow.
"I have no idea"
After we grabbed something to eat, we rushed to our first class hoping that the teacher wasn't there so we'd have at least some time to eat. No one said anything or seem to notice the fact that there was police and an ambulance out in front of the school earlier when we woke. They had left before we came down to the cafe.
Entering the class, we smiled at each other after we saw that the Professor hadn't made it to class yet. But at the same time I wondered why he hadn't made it yet, what if he had something to do with what happend this morning.
"Violet what happened this morning?" I unwrapped my bagel while looking at her.
She shrugged, "I have no idea" before opening her sandwich and taking a bite.
"Anyone know what happened this morning!?" My eyes widened as Violet yelled across the room with food in her mouth.
I looked around as everyone shook their heads, "won't you chew your food next time aye Violet?" Some guy yelled from the back of the room.
"Oh bite me Aaron" I looked at her and she turned toward the front in her seat.
"I'd love too baby" he yelled.
I chewed slowly while looking at Violet, I was waiting for her to turn around to face me but she finished her food first before she wanted to talk.
