The Happiness Of Tragedy

Chapter 80

There was no point in finding some place to go since everyone felt we all should wait till the actual day of to do something more fun. I agreed with them, I still didn't know what we were going to do but I'd find something even if it means just relaxing. It didn't matter, I was just glad to have my family and also my friends back at my side.

The guys had went out to get some food while all of us girls stayed back in the room. We gathered in Ali's of course, she did have the biggest and just like any other time we'd watch and eat it was in her room.

"Katerina, tomorrow is the big day" Violet's eyes widen.

I snort, flop on the bed before I speak "how so?"

Her eyes turn to slits, "don't play dumb, what's your plan? Your not telling us something"

"Nothing, I swear" I shake my head. Even if I did have something to do I would tell them most likely.

The guys returned, the food was so hot and perfect so we had rushed to eat before it cooled. We talked some and the other half of the time we'd managed to gather some late night things to stay in her room. I don't know how we did it, but it worked. We actually slept in the same room. The guys stayed till late night and then decided it was too crowded in the room so they left, us having no idea where they went.

Ali chose the movie again this time and we all began to crowd on her bed until we fell asleep, the tv stayed on.

I was the last to fall asleep though and I couldn't with the light so I turned it off. As I began to climb back into the giant bed, Violet stirred. I went still for a second before smiling and getting back into the sleeping position I was in and trying my best to fall asleep.

The vibration from my phone had woken me up completely, I wasn't tired even as if felt like we'd went to bed super late. Maybe because it was my birthday and even though I  wasn't intended to doing anything, still I was happy for the day.

I snatched my phone off the bed, it must've feel when I was asleep. It still vibrates, I look around at my friends surprised that we all fit in the bed but also happy they are still asleep so I can sneak away from them. I climb off the bed and make my way toward the bathroom.

As I tiptoed, someone stirred. I stop for a second until they stopped and I closed the bathroom door behind me. My eyebrows come together, it's only 8:09  in the morning and Moms blowing up my phone already.

I click the call button and shake my head, "hey Mom"

She begins to sing Happy Birthday really loudly and I take the phone away from my ear for a minute till she finishes.

"Thanks Mom"

Sweetie, theres no if, and, or buts or declines about today. We are going out and I'm on my way so please be ready

My eyes widen, "wait, really?"

Yes, be ready. Love you byee

The other line clicks off and I take the phone from my ear, smiling but also staring into space because I have no idea what she has planned or what made her call me at this time. I shake my head before rushing out the bathroom, my mind spinning with the possibilities of what could go on today.

"Hey Katerina" Monica's face lights up, "happy birthday girly!" She claps her hands.

"Happy birthday babe" Ali was next, her ruffled hair is pushed to the side and then Violet being Violet gets up from the bed and walks over to me.
