(Taehyung's POV  Past part 4)

I arrived early to school dressed in a different attire. It was 6:30am and class didn't start until 7am so I sat in the front of the school on the benches, eating a light breakfast. A handful of students were nearby, either finishing up assignments, hanging out, or sat alone until we were let in. I noticed that I was getting a few glances and stares which I felt was a bit unusual at first because of how I dressed today. But I got used to it and continued my usual morning greetings.

After I finished my light breakfast I took out a handful of the photos I had taken on my recent trip to Jeju Island. It was photos of the bright colored fields and the flowers that bloomed under the bright sun. I smile to myself knowing how embarrassed I would feel when I show these to her.

I heard footsteps approaching me but I didn't look up as I was too busy looking at the pictures in my hands. I felt a hard tap on my shoulder, making me jolt, almost dropping the photos.

"Ooohh! Looks like someone is ready to go on their first date this afternoon" Hyungwon teases as he takes a seat next to me.

"Hajima! I'm nervous enough so no need to make it worse" I say putting the photos back in my bag.

"With a girl like Jisu? Of course you would be nervous!" He nudges me in the rib, making me chuckle.

"I just want this date to be perfect. I want to give her a good impression."

"No need to worry! First dates are not always going to go smoothly as long as you two enjoy it. Just be yourself as you usually are!"

I give Hyungwon a smirk and pat him in the back "Thanks. I can always count on you"

There was about five minutes left before class starts when a small figure approaches us. She wore a white dress with shoes that matched. I look up to see Jisu with her hair tied in a small pony tail with a decorative ribbon in her head. She looked so breathtakingly beautiful that my jaws dropped.

She stood there, staring at me, obviously too nervous and shy about the whole situation.

"Annyong Hyungwon" She waves at him and then looks at me " Annyong T-T-Taehyung" She stutters

I snap out of it when I heard her voice and quickly fixed myself up "Uh! Annyong J-Jisu. Umm you look pretty"I say giving my best smile. "Oh! I bought these for you" I say handing her the bouquet of yellow flowers.

"T-thank you! These are beautiful. Y-you look good as well"

It went silent and I can feel the awkwardness slowly killing me the more we stood there.

Hyungwon sighs, giving me a pat on the shoulder before heading inside the school building "See you later Tae. " He winks and disappears.

After several painfully awkward seconds I finally spoke "Umm are you excited for this afternoon?" I say putting my hands in my front pockets.

"Yes I am...are you?"

"Y-yes! I mean yes I'm excited." I say blushing at the outburst that I just did but to my surprise she laughs it off.

I clear my throat and approach her "Shall I carry your books?"

"Uh you don't have to Taehyung" She insisted

"I want to. I really don't mind!"

"Oh ok then" She chuckles and hands me her books.

I open the school door for her and I walk her to her first class. We finally arrived to her class and I hand her her books.

"Thank you Taehyung for walking me to class and carrying my books." She says with a slight blush, staring at the floor.

I start taking steps back, ready to head to class "No problem, Jisu. Looks like I'll be heading to class. I'll pick you up this afternoon" I smile and wave at her as she enters the classroom.

It was 5pm and I waited outside for Jisu to finish her calligraphy class. My heart had been racing all day at the thought of finally being with Jisu on our first date. My palms were sweating, and my body was shaking with anticipation and excitement all together. As the last group of students come out of the building, Jisu was the last one to come out. As she was searching for me I snuck up from behind her and said "Boo!" making her jolt and turn around.

"Oh Taehyung!" She says clutching her chest "You scared me!"

"Mianhaeyo. Just wanted to surprise you. Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah I'm ready" She says as she meets my side, close enough to where our bodies almost touched.

We walk out of the school's front gate and walked the five long blocks to the park. As we walked I noticed that she kept taking little glances at me but every time I caught her she looked away, biting her lip. Which was kind of cute. I decided to start by having a simple talk to cut of the awkward silence.

"So how has your day been?"

"It was good. I got another award for my calligraphy project" She says shyly

"That's amazing!"

"What about you? How was yours?"

"It was good also. I was finally able to develop my photos for my photography club." I say scratching my head nervously

"Your photos must look amazing then" She smiles, shrugging slightly

I stop in my tracks to take out the photos that I had wanted to show Jisu earlier, out of my bag. "Oh. Here's the photo I wanted to show you. They're from my recent trip to Jeju Island."

She gently takes them out of my hands, eyes widen with surprise "These looks amazing! It's funny, I had a recent trip at Jeju not too long ago. I was with my parents and we went to the field to take some family photos for my parents anniversary."

"Really? I was in the fields too with my grandmother!" I jump back with surprise

"Wow! It is a small world isn't it?" She chuckles and then it went silent again.

We stopped by a local cafe to pick up some food such as sandwiches, cold bottles of tea and a few pastries. I went to one of the cashiers, that I've known since I was child and handed her the items and greeted her warmly.

"Ahh Taehungie! It's nice to see you. Haven't seen you since two weeks ago" She says as she checks out the items.

"It has. How have you been? How is your son?"

"I've been well. My son is still in the military and won't be discharged until late next year." She then stops and peers over my shoulders with a curious look on her face. "Who is this lovely young lady?"

I turn my shoulder to see Jisu standing with her legs crossed, looking down at the floor, smelling the flowers in her hands.

"Oh! Umm that's Min Jisu. She's new to the area and to my school." I lean over the counter to whisper in her ear "We're on our first date"

She leans back, eyes widen with astonishment "Ah! I see. She seems lovely. I hope everything goes well with you two." She winks

I put my hands in my pocket, letting out a deep sigh "I hope so. I want this to be perfect"

"Taehungie. There's no such thing as perfect. Besides, maybe one day you two might fall in love and marry one day"

I blush at the words of "love" and "marriage", reminding me of what my grandmother just told me yesterday. My heart pounded at the though of falling in love and having a possible future with Jisu.

The cashier hands me the bag and gives me my change back. "Have fun and remember...just be yourself"

"Just be myself..Just be myself?...How can I be myself without trying to be perfect?"
