A few months after I started dating Shawn he told me he is a werewolf. I knew he would never hurt me, so I stayed with him. Since he's a werewolf he knows he's super strong, so he always makes sure to be extra gently with me. Except sometimes in bed😉 (I'm going to hell 😹). He can also sense my emotions whether I'm happy or sad, he can always tell, and hiding my sadness is quite hard. Lately I've been feeling like I don't deserve Shawn.
I am just finishing a chapter of divergent (really good book series) when Shawn walks in our bedroom. "Hey love how are you today" he asks. "Pretty good" I say putting my book on the bedside table. "Hmm what's wrong?" Shawn asks laying in bed beside me. "Nothings wrong" I say cautiously. "Baby please tell me, I can feel some sort of sadness you have" he says. I don't say anything.
"Please baby girl, it hurts me when your sad" he says grabbing my hand. " since your a werewolf you cant choose who your mate is" I say and he nods. "Well I just feel like I'm not good enough for you, and there are so many more beautiful girls in the world but your stuck with me, and it's not fair for you" I say looking down. Shawn always says how gorgeous I am and how much he loves me, but if I wasn't his mate, would it be the same?
"Awe Baby I'm not stuck with you, I'm with you, and your so beautiful and I'm not saying that because your my mate, since I saw pictures on you on instagram before we even met, I thought you were so beautiful. And did you know I could've rejected you because I didn't think you were pretty, or anything like that. But I didn't because I fell in love with you the first day I saw your picture on Instagram, even though I couldn't tell you were my mate, I wished you were. So baby you are the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on." Shawn says with pure affection and adoration lacing every word. "Thank you" I say and hug him.
"Your welcome, I mean it" he says hugging me tighter. "I have something for you" he says and walks to the kitchen. He's back in less than a minute with a box in his hands. "I bought this for you today" he says opening the box. It's chocolate and chocolate covered strawberry's. "Thank you so much" I say giving him a kiss. I eat a few and then offer Shawn some. "I'm good, I don't really like strawberries, you know werewolf" he says and my jaw drops. "How-, I-, I might have to rethink this relationship" I say sarcastically but Shawn thinks I'm serious.
"I'm kidding, so you can 'sense' my sadness but can't sense sarcasm?" I say. "I don't know must be an off day" he says making me giggle. I sit on his lap and say, "thank you for everything." "Your welcome" he says giving me a passionate kiss.
