Aaliyah and I go downstairs. I can feel my heart start to race. I see the table is all set. "Hey you must be y/n. It's nice to meet you" shawns mom says. "It's nice to meet you too mrs. mendes" I say and she pulls me into a hug. "Please call me Karen" she says and I nod. "Hi y/n I'm shawns dad, but you can call me manny" manny says. "Hi, nice to meet you" I say and shake his hand.
We sit down, and it's a little awkward for me. Shawn is beside me to my right, and Aaliyah is to my left. Karen and manny are sitting across from us. "So y/n where are you from?" Karen asks. "Oh um just a little outside of Toronto." I reply. "This food is amazing" I say and Karen smiles. "How old are you, what school do or did you go to?" Manny asks. "I'm 18, and I was homeschooled" I say. And they nod.
