The first thing that Ellie noticed when she woke up the next morning, was the bright shining through the window and blinding her partially when she looked in that direction.
She adjusted her head on the warm pillow, wanting to sleep for a bit more in this comfortable position. Until the pillow underneath her moved.
Her eyes shot open but she didn't dare to move. The sight in front of her got her breath caught deep in her throat. There was Jeongguk sleeping right next to her, her head placed on his heaving chest. The second thing she noticed as she was freaking out, was the arm protectively wrapped around her.
She stared at Jeongguk's sleeping face. She would never admit it, but she knew how amazed she was by Jeongguk's beauty. The boy was absolutely breath-taking not just in Ellie's, but in everyone's eyes and although she thought she would be better off without Jeongguk, she knew for long that she needed him.
No matter how much she wanted to stay for just a little longer, no matter how protected she felt in his arms, and no matter how warm and how damn good he smelled, in fact, his whole room did, she should probably shut up already and get the hell out of the room until he wakes up and kicks her out himself because that's exactly something Jeongguk would do.
She tried to get out of the grip of Jeongguk's arm which was holding onto her waist, but his hand probably weighted more than a fucking elephant.
Seconds later, she finally managed to get out of his hold without waking him up, and looked at his peaceful state one last time before tip-toeing out of Jeongguk's room to her own.

Ellie's face felt kinda hot since the morning, so she hoped to avoid Jeongguk for as long as possible at least today. It wasn't that hard since it was a week day and she still had school she needed to attend.
Jin was, like usually, the one in charge of driving her to school. She didn't mind because he would spend the whole ride to the town talking about the most random stuff.
"It's been sooo long since I drove our Jeonggukie to school. I remember it like yesterday," the boy sighed from next to her and Ellie smiled at the nickname and Jin's pout.
She was still convinced it didn't suit him at all.
"You used to drive him to school too?" she asked, wondering how long they've known each other.
"Yeah, every day. All the kids, him with Taehyungie and Jiminie. Those brats would be lost if I wasn't in the role of their mum," he frowned, throwing hands in the air in outrage from how irresponsible the boys were.
Ellie chuckled at how meaningful this memory was to him, but she had to agree, it must have been a good one. She realised she still barely knew any of them but wanted to find out more.
Where were their families when Jin was the one responsible for the three youngest?
"Aah, Jeonggukie used to be the sweetest kid. Would you believe that he couldn't fall asleep without a good night kiss?"
"He did that?" she chuckled because imagining the-so-tough Jeongguk as a little boy who snuggles into his hyung's bed for a good night kiss was way too hilarious.
She'll have to tease him for this later.
"Yees, he was a softie. I remember how Taehyungie used to make fun of that cute little mole Jeonggukie has under his lips. Then he'd throw him down the stairs and wasn't that sweet anymore...but we kept him," he turned to look at Ellie with a dimply smile at what she had to try really hard not to laugh.
"Where were his parents?" she asked after a while, realising Jin hasn't mentioned any of their parents yet.
"Oh, you should ask him," he said now seriously, and Ellie knew he won't tell her anything more since they were already in front of her university.
_______
Later that day, it was around 10 pm when Ellie came back to the mansion from her meeting with Steven. It was natural that the two of them had grown closer since he used to help her with studies and they always had much in common, so he was very easy to be around.
Ellie expected everyone to be asleep at this hour, but she could barely enter the building when a hoarse voice came from inside the enter hall.
"Where were you? Do you know what time it is?"
She turned the light on to see Jeongguk wearing a large hoodie with sweatpants, his typical house outfit.
"With Steven. Chill, I am not a kid anymore," she snapped back while putting her shoes off, clearly annoyed.
He really wanted to add some rude comment but kept his tongue behind his teeth.
"Oooh, someone's in trouble," Ellie looked behind Jeongguk from where Taehyung's head suddenly popped up.
"And finally, it's not me," he finished with a grin.
"Get out, Tae," Jeongguk glared at him and the older held his hands close to his chest, showing him to chill.
"Good night, Ellie," he screamed from the stairs and disappeared in the dark.
She chuckled at how annoyed Jeongguk looked and walked over to the kitchen.
"I don't care what time you come back, but you wanted my help. Or do you no longer need it? Cause I would be glad," Jeongguk continued attacking her with threats as he followed her into the kitchen.
"No, please! I need you to help me," she turned around towards him before she could grab a glass of water.
"You should have come sooner. We're starting tomorrow," Jeongguk said coldly and walked back upstairs to his room.
Ellie hovered her body over the counter and sighed, hoping he'd wake up in a better mood tomorrow.
