I open the front door and drop my bookbag on the floor followed by my coat. I stumble my way to my room trying to get out of my shoes. I lay them by my bedroom door and plop on my bed untucking my phone from my back pocket and powering it on.

I scroll through my notifications and click on the most recent one.
"nes what are you even doing"
I send a detailed reply
"I told you billie. I was getting off the bus. I'm home now"
"are your parents home" she typed fairly fast
"nope not until tomorrow at about 9-10 pm" I send back cutting my phone off and doing my remaining homework for the week.

Jenese and Billie are NOT dating. I repeat NOT dating. They are close friends though and they both hang out with the same group of people and their parents grew up together. So yeah.

"there's a square root to 1 trillion" I say shocked.
"ugh this shit is sooooo confusing" I yell throwing my pencil down and picking up my phone. I open up my contacts and call my tutor to help me.

"Okay thanks so much" I say before ending the call.
I finally finish the homework and set everything back inside of my bookbag neatly and lay on my bed calmly tucking myself into my sheets.
I take a long warm nap. But it surprisingly doesn't last long because my phone keeps going off.
