i look down at my phone screen reading the time.
6:37 am
i slip on my shoes and a jacket and jump out of the window.
i call billie on my way down the street to see where she is.
b: hello
k: hey billie where are you
b: i'm under the old town road bridge.
k:billie i'm serious it's so cold out here
b: ok ok what street are you on?
k:south martel avenue.
b: okay i'm like five minutes away on south gardner st.
k: okay i brought some money incase you haven't ate.
b:you didn't have to. i've only been gone a day.
k: shut up. we're gonna see each other soon.

"yo where is this girl" billie says
"i'm not that girl i'm karri" i day coming from behind her watching her jump in horror.
"what the fuck !" billie whisper yells.
"be quiet it's like 7:00 am" i say dragging her to the forest

"well i've wanted to see you for a while" billie says settling her butt in the snow.
"i have too but i was angry. angry at you. the world. myself." i say
"i never wanted to hurt you. you- you know that" her voice cracks
"please don't cry i'm gonna cry billie." i sigh looking up so my eye watering can go away.
"but . i don't know. what to say" billie says

"i love you. i'm in love with you. i only i said i didn't was because i wasn't myself and you deserve perfect. and nothing less than that. so now i am officially saying i love you and i and officially asking will you be my girlfriend, my keeper, my peace, and my mind ?" billie asks
"oh my god of course billie i love you ive always loved you and i will always love you." i cry as i tackle her in a hug.

we sat in the snow eating our food and drinking our coffee as the sun went fully up.
i looked down at my phone.

my mouth jolts open as my chin hits the grown.
"oh my god billie we have to go now!" i say
"what happened " she says alerted
i show her my phone and she had the same reaction as me.
"are you coming" i say holding my hand out and she just stays there before hesitantly grabbing my hand as i lead her out the forest to the street where my house is in good enough view to see my parents and the o'connell's on my porch.
we run as fast a possible to the porch, still holding hands as they see us and immediately run back to us.
"oh my god ! i was so worried where were you guys! are you okay have you eaten." billie's mom and my mom go on looking us up and down frantically.
"guys calm down we're fine. we just have some news." billie says intertwining our fingers as our parents look down in shock.
"aw i knew it!" they all laugh

we were in my bedroom getting ready to end off the day and go to sleep. before billie turns to me.
"i love you so much. i'm glad your my girlfriend and not just my fuck buddy" billie laughs
"well you know i can still be that" i say pecking her lips
