I hear a loud bump followed by quieter noises. I jump up from my mattress and leave from under the bleachers.
If your wondering, I lived at the school ever since my family left me. After it closed down I just lived here full time.
I follow the noises out into the hall and see most of the lights on in the lobby. I stare in confusion as I open the door and see a girl struggling while hanging from the ceiling.
"oh my gosh!" I yell running over to her
"don't please." She grunts out.
Then the girl spins around.
"Billie?!"
"Christen." She says blankly
"Billie I'm getting you down now." I say grabbing a chair and scooting it under her.
I get up there as she tries to slap my hand away as I untie the knot and she falls to the floor with a loud thud.
"Jesus Billie ." I say jumping down into the floor with her as she coughs.
"You don't know what's going on..." she says looking down
"Well..... feel me in" I say placing my hand on top of hers.
"well you remember that one morning where we woke up to yelling and pounding outside and I told you that it was just the neighbors." She lets out a scratchy tone.
I nodded my head signaling my recall of the morning.
"Well it was my dad and Finneas. They were arguing about me....again. I didn't know at the time but this morning Finneas told me that my moms death was my fault soooo. here i am." She cries.
"Billie...... come here." I say coddling her in my chest.
"I'm sorry C" she sobs
"it's okay"
"im here now and I'll never leave you again"
