Chapter X - Bechloe: Pet Names

Chloe Beale was over the moon when she began dating moody alt-girl Beca Mitchell. Ever since Chloe saw Beca at the activities fair, she knew she had to have her to the point where she invaded the tiny brunette's shower and forced her to sing Titanium in the nude. That was a moment that neither woman forgot or wanted to forget for that matter. Several days later, Beca got accepted into Chloe's singing group - the Barden Bellas. Beca was hesitant and she wasn't sure why she even auditioned but she knew deep down it was because of the perky redhead, Chloe Beale. The aca-initiation night was what made things official between the two women. The sexual tension was so thick in the air that Chloe decided that it was time to address it, especially when Jesse Swanson, a newly recruited Treblemaker, was hitting on Beca. To make a long story short, Chloe grabbed Beca, kissed her, and took her back to her room and the rest was history.

All of that happened months ago and Chloe was learning more and more things about Beca each day. Beca was very standoffish and quiet. She often got moody and enjoyed being alone and not socialising. She was rude, abrupt, and curt - all of these factors pushing people away, which had always been Beca's plan. However, Chloe looked past all of Beca's faults and embraced them instead. She knew what Beca was like but for some reason, it made her more attracted to the tiny brunette. Beca wasn't a relationship person, she wasn't even a friendship person but Chloe was different. Chloe was the only person that could invade Beca's privacy and get away with it. Chloe was able to walk into Beca's dorm unannounced or barge into the bathroom without question. Chloe's carelessness agitated Beca at first but she never got angry at the girl. Chloe never meant any harm and she honestly didn't care about boundaries. Boundaries were pointless to Chloe, especially when it came to her girlfriend.

Both women got to learn a lot about each other in the first month they started dating. They learned their quirks and their annoying habits but nothing changed their minds about wanting to be together. They loved spending time with each other, even if it just meant sitting in the same room and working on their assignments without speaking - they loved being together. Getting Beca out of her comfort zone was Chloe's primary mission. The redhead would push Beca's boundaries by constantly hugging her, kissing her, and showing her big to little signs of affection. Beca wasn't used to all of that so it was very awkward for her when she started doing it. It took Beca a little while to just even hold Chloe's hand in public. That's how much of a relationship person she was.

Chloe was proud of Beca every time she stepped out of her comfort zone and did something that she wouldn't normally do, and she loved it when Beca did things with Chloe that she didn't want to do but did them anyway just because it was Chloe. Those actions made Chloe fall even harder for the brunette. However, there was one thing that Beca still didn't do in their relationship and it was starting to bug Chloe more than she would have liked - Beca never called Chloe any pet names. Chloe always called Beca pet names such as Becs, babe, baby, munchkin, and some others but those were the main ones. Chloe loved calling Beca those things because it showed everyone that Beca was hers and that only Chloe was allowed to call Beca that - no one else; just Chloe. Not that she would have ever admitted it but Beca loved it when Chloe called her those things. It made her feel special and loved - something Beca thought she'd never feel from another person.

Chloe didn't want to overreact about the situation but it bugged her more and more each day. She saw a future with Beca and if they were going to have any sort of future together, Beca was going to have to call Chloe pet names. After thinking about it for a little while, Chloe decided to ask Beca why she never called her any pet names. It was a calm Friday evening and Beca was sitting on Chloe's bed with Chloe in the Bellas House - the house that Beca was going to move into the following year. The two of them were working on an assignment for one of their classes and that's when Chloe asked her.
