"If dad says that we can't be together, I'm leaving home," said Chloe as she was curled up in Beca's arms in bed.
The redhead was staying over at her girlfriend's house while her mother talked to her father who was (hopefully) listening to his wife and not being stubborn as he usually was.
"You can't do that, babe," Beca told her.
"I can. Watch me."
"Where will you go?"
"Here. With you. I'll stay with you until we finish school then we'll go to college together and once we finish, we'll get an apartment together, get jobs, get a house, get married, and have a family."
"Is that right?" Beca chuckled.
"Yes."
"Good to know that my life is already planned out for me."
"You're welcome."
Beca laughed again and kissed Chloe's head. The brunette didn't like it when people told her what she should do or what she was going to do for her future but Beca didn't mind when Chloe did that. Beca would have happily given Chloe everything she wanted as long as she was still with her. Beca loved Chloe too much to care about anything other than the redhead. Sure, Beca wanted to be a famous music producer but she would rather have had Chloe than her dream job any day and Chloe would have had Beca than have her dream job as well.
"Do you think your dad's pissed?" Beca questioned.
"I'm surprised he hasn't come over here and dragged me home."
"Me, too."
"I mean it though, Becs, if he can't accept us then I don't want to stay with him anymore."
"Chlo, as much as I'd love you to live with me and all that, it's not the way to go. You love your dad and I know you well enough to know that you can't just kick him out of your life for good."
Chloe sighed because yet again, Beca was right. Beca may have had a bit of a rough relationship with her dad from time to time but she knew how important family was, especially to Chloe and Beca didn't want Chloe to reject her family because of her no matter how romantic and sweet the sentiment was.
"I just don't want to live without you," uttered Chloe.
"You won't, babe. Your mom is talking to him right now and hopefully, he is listening to her and realising that trying to separate us wasn't a good idea. He listens to her so let's hope he's doing that now."
"I hope so but you know what he's like, Becs."
"I do but as you always tell me, we have to keep our chin up no matter what and hope for the best because we never know what could happen."
"So now you listen to me?" Chloe smirked.
"I always listen to you."
"You know what I mean."
"Well, I think it's fair to say that this is a bit different. You usually say that to me when we're about to have a test or something. Now, it's time to say that to yourself."
"I know but this IS different and I don't know how things are going to go with mom and dad. Dad might have convinced mom that this whole thing was a bad idea and that separating us was for the best."
"OR she could have convinced him to stop being such a homophobic bastard and let us be together."
"He's not homophobic - he's traditional."
"Same thing."
Chloe rolled her eyes. Beca had a lot to learn when it came to the topics of tradition and homophobia and because Beca was stubborn herself, it was challenging from time to time. However, Chloe was lucky since Beca was the only person the brunette listened to so Chloe used it to her advantage multiple times.
