Chapter CXV - Bechloe: Obsession

Chloe Beale was a lovely woman. She was the epitome of happiness but she was also one crazy-ass mofo. You could say that she was "crazy in love" (thanks, Beyoncé) but other people would have seen it as just plain crazy. To put it simply, Chloe was obsessed with Beca Mitchell. She was so obsessed it would have been considered as a borderline obsession. She monitored everything Beca did to the finest detail such as knowing how long after Beca had a glass of water that she needed to go to the bathroom. It was creepy but Chloe didn't see it that way because Chloe was in love - head over heels in love to be exact. Beca was Chloe's world - her LIFE - and Chloe couldn't get enough of the tiny brunette. She fell for Beca as soon as they met at the activities fair and she fell completely in love with her once she joined the Bellas.

That was at the start of the college year and it was now the end where the Bellas had just performed at the ICCA Finals of 2012 where the crowd went wild for them. Chloe was so happy that Beca took over the Bellas. She knew that Beca had what it took to be a Bella. Beca was so full of talent and Chloe was pretty sure that Aubrey was a little jealous of just how talented Beca was. Chloe kept smiling out onto the crowd who were simply blown away by their amazing performance. Chloe turned to Beca and congratulated her and she even hugged the woman who didn't like any form of affection but didn't seem to mind it too much from Chloe. That was probably because Chloe pushed and pushed for it so Beca didn't bother to fight it. Regardless of the reason, Chloe was just happy that she was the only one that could touch Beca.

Chloe hugged the rest of the Bellas, telling them all how much of a good job they did and how proud of them she was. Chloe turned back around to pull Beca into her arms but when she did, the brunette was gone. Chloe's heart sank and she immediately scoured around the theatre for the woman. She eventually found her. She was walking off the stage and into the crowd where she made her way over to the Treblemakers and more specifically, Jesse. Chloe saw him say a few words to Beca before Beca leaned forward, folded her arms around his neck, and kissed him. That's when something inside Chloe just snapped. The smile fell from her face and she suddenly felt like there was nobody else in the theatre but her, Beca, and Jesse. A mix of anger and heartache filled her and all she wanted to do was go down there and rip the two of them apart.

Chloe never liked Jesse. As soon as she saw him hitting on Beca at the aca-initiation party, she knew she had to be careful of him. Thankfully, Aubrey was on top of it and condemned Beca being with Jesse, which seemed to have worked since Beca snapped at him when he defended Beca against Aubrey when she accused Beca hooking of up with him. Chloe did a little cheer inside her head when it happened since it got Jesse to back off Beca and Chloe thought that was it. She thought Beca didn't like Jesse at all and after she snapped at him, he didn't like her anymore either, which was MORE than okay with Chloe.

Yes, Chloe being happy about their argument might come across as cruel but you can't really blame her, can you? The boy who was hitting on her crush finally got put in his place and Chloe didn't have to do a thing! We all know that someone hitting on your crush is a big no-no, regardless if they know you have a crush on them or not. It's a work in progress and they just need to back off instead of swoop in and take them from you. Rude fuckers.

Chloe kept staring at Beca and Jesse, even when Aubrey pulled Chloe off the stage. It wasn't until Chloe couldn't actually see Beca anymore that she turned around. The Bellas wanted to celebrate but that was the last thing Chloe wanted to do because, in her eyes, there was nothing to celebrate. The love of her life just kissed someone else. There was nothing happy, congratulatory, or celebratory about that - it was quite the opposite. Chloe was pissed beyond words and the Bellas knew that something was wrong because Chloe wasn't happy and it was so unlike Chloe it was worrying.

However, the Bellas didn't get much time to question Chloe when they were announced the winners of the ICCA Finals, forcing Beca away from Jesse to collect their trophy. Just like that, Chloe's smile returned as she wrapped an arm around Beca's waist as they smiled for their picture. Once that was done, the Bellas filed off the stage with their trophy as Chloe glared at Jesse the entire time, making sure that he saw her.
