"Come on, Anna! Come on!" Beca encouraged her four-year-old daughter who was a splitting image of Beca and who was also chasing her mama around the park on a spring Sunday afternoon while Chloe watched from a nearby bench.

"Don't exert yourself too much, babe!" Chloe reminded her seven-month-old pregnant wife.

"I won't!"

Even though Beca said she wouldn't, it didn't mean that she actually would. Despite Beca and Chloe being together for thirteen years and married for three of them, Beca was still stubborn and Chloe knew her wife like the back of her hand and now that Beca was pregnant with their second child, Chloe had to take extra precaution. Beca often forgot that she was pregnant and couldn't exert herself as she used to when she wasn't. There had been many times where Beca had expelled her energy or even hurt herself because she didn't take the proper precautions. So, Chloe's priority now was to look out for both her daughter and wife. Well, Chloe always had to look out for her wife but now more so. Nonetheless, Chloe loved both of them more than life itself and she couldn't wait to have another baby with the woman of her dreams.

"Phew..." Beca panted, stopping in her tracks with her hands on her knees the best she could with a large, pregnant belly. "Okay, maybe I'm not as fit as I thought..."

"What did I say?" Chloe reminded with a pointed gaze.

"I haven't passed out!"

"No, but you look like Niagara Falls with the amount of sweat you're producing. Sit down and have a drink."

"Yes, mom..."

"Hey, if it weren't for me, who knows where you'd be right now."

"Yeah, yeah..." Beca stood upright and stepped over to Chloe but when she did, a hard smack was administered to her backside followed by a loud thump on the ground.

"Anna!" Chloe gasped.

Beca spun around and saw her daughter on the pavement as she burst into tears. Her first instinct was to settle her child, which she did until her pregnancy hormones got the better of her and she ended up crying much to her own disgust. Beca hated crying. Crying was in the top list of things Beca hated but now that she was pregnant, she cried over the littlest things and this happened to be one of them. It was a simple accident but Beca was acting as if her daughter cracked her head open!

"Oh, baby, I'm sorry. Shh... Shh..." Beca picked up her daughter and held her as they cried together.

"Oh, my girls..." Chloe tittered, standing and looping her arms around them both. "One boo-boo and one overwhelmed mama." Chloe planted soft kisses on their respective cheeks.

"I hate crying..." Beca groaned, wiping her eyes once their hug ended.

"I know you do, baby, but it's okay - I was like that, too, remember?"

"Yes, all too well... Ugh, I'm a mess!"

"You're still beautiful."

"Thanks, nerd."

"Why don't I get my girls some ice cream to heal your boo-boos?"

"Yeah," Anna nodded, wiping her eyes.

"Yeah? Does that sound good? What about you, mama?"

"You know I'm craving ice cream right now."

"So that's a yes then?"

Beca rolled her eyes. "Yes, weirdo."

"Okay. You and Anna sit here and recuperate yourselves while I get us some ice cream. It's best if you stay here or else you'll ram-raid the ice cream truck and kill the vendor in the process."

"Harsh, babe."

"Perhaps but it's true. I know what you're like."

Beca shrugged nonchalantly. "True."

With that, Chloe left and Beca made sure that Anna was okay after her fall. She had a little scrape on her elbow but other than that, she was fine and that eased Beca's anxiety that she totally blamed on her stupid hormones. She hated being pregnant but she wanted another child with her wife and the amount of joy she knew she would get out of having another baby surpassed the struggles and unpleasantries of pregnancy. So, in the end, it was all going to be worth it but for now, Beca had to endure two more months of this torture before she was blessed with another little bundle of joy.

"Okay! One chocolate ice cream for my bubba, one rocky road for my wife, and one strawberry for me!" Chloe distributed the ice creams before taking a seat next to Beca and her daughter.

"Thank you, mommy," said Anna, licking her treat.

"You're welcome, honey. Is that better?"

She nodded happily.

"That's good. What about you, mama?" Chloe tucked a strand of hair behind Beca's ear and Beca mimicked her daughter, making Chloe giggle. "Good."

The redhead kissed her wife's cheek chastely then Anna's and enjoyed the beautiful spring afternoon, hoping no more boo-boos would occur, no matter how cute they were.
