Chapter CIX - Bechloe: Saturday Mornings

Beca and Chloe's favourite day of the week is Saturday and more specifically, Saturday morning. It's always been Saturday morning. They also love Sunday morning but Saturday morning is where it's at. Beca and Chloe have been together since college and five years after they graduated, they still maintain their tradition of sleeping in late every Saturday morning. The working week would be long and tiresome but it's worth it to have Saturday morning to themselves. The couple wake up holding each other from the night before and stay that way, sometimes without words. Sometimes, they just relish in the feel and warmth of one another's bodies. Sometimes, morning cuddles lead to makeout sessions that more often than not lead to sex, which is perfectly fine with both women.

The couple are so in love with each other it's amazing. They would do anything for the other woman without question or hesitation. Beca thinks - she knows - she can't live without Chloe because Chloe makes her into a better person. Chloe is everything Beca needs to live. Chloe is Beca's biggest supporter. Just the thought of anyone getting too close to Chloe or the threat of someone taking Chloe away from Beca makes her feel all sorts of things that cause her stomach do flips and makes her want to just hold onto Chloe even tighter. There have been instances where people have approached the redhead in a more than friendly manner and it didn't sit right with Beca - not at all. Thankfully, Chloe knows Beca to a T and reassures the brunette that there's nothing to worry about. Usually, that reassurance is sealed with a kiss, which makes Beca's insecurities and jealously dissipate and they carry on.

Chloe gets jealous, too. Who doesn't when it comes to the love of their life? Chloe adores Beca. She adored her the moment she laid eyes on the alt-girl. Beca has such a big heart that only Chloe is privy to. Yes, Beca has gotten better over the years to show love and kindness to those close to her but Chloe gets it all. She gets all of Beca's love and she feels so privileged because of it. Beca is a tough cookie and it takes years of work to break down her walls but not with Chloe. Chloe managed to walk right on in and she still has that power and the best thing about it all? Chloe NEVER takes advantage of it. NEVER. Chloe cares about Beca too much to do that to her not that she would ever think about doing it anyway. Beca is Chloe's everything and the thought of losing Beca in any way makes Chloe feel sick to her stomach. Chloe is utterly and hopelessly in love with Beca and laying in bed with her on Saturday morning, reminds Chloe just how lucky she is to have found her partner in crime.

This morning is another beautiful morning in the Mitchell household or Beale household. They're not sure yet. Beca has recently proposed to Chloe after nine years of being together. Beca wanted to propose a lot earlier but couldn't due to lack of funds and she didn't want Chloe to have to wait for them to get enough money to have their wedding and honeymoon. Now that Beca has a nice and steady career as a famous music producer, the brunette is able to buy whatever she wants and whatever Chloe wants as well. Chloe isn't about the money though. She's never been about the money. Chloe couldn't care less and neither could Beca because what they have is worth so much more than money. They're due to get married in a few months. They are just making the final decisions before their big day. They're not sure about surnames though. Chloe is happy to take Beca's and Beca is happy to take Chloe's. They really don't care. As long as they're together, that's all they care about.

It had been a long road for the two women. Beca tried her utmost to become famous and give Chloe the lifestyle she deserved once they finished college but it just didn't happen as easily as Beca thought. Things were really tight in regard to money and their apartment since it was only a studio apartment shared between Beca, Chloe, and Fat Amy who very rarely paid the rent. Chloe was studying to be a vet and Beca was working her ass off at a job she ended up resenting. However, no matter the hardships throughout the week, Beca and Chloe always managed to make time for each other every Saturday morning. Sure, it was harder to be more intimate with Fat Amy five feet away from them all the time but they managed to work around it. They didn't need sex to secure the relationship and they still don't. It's just something they do to show one another how much they love each other. It's also a promise that they'll only love their other half and they will never leave them.

So much is said during that special time and what makes it even better is that not many words are actually said at all. It's all said with their bodies. Of course, they communicate to make sure they're okay and compliment each other but not much else. They just get lost in the moment as well as one another and let their bodies and emotions do the rest. When they come down from their high, they cuddle and sometimes, cuddling is just as good as the act of lovemaking itself. It's that reassurance that they love each other and that they'll always be there for one another. It's a promise and it's also a thank you. Both women see their lovemaking as a gift and something special shared between two people. It makes their relationship stronger and brings them closer together as a couple but also, as best friends. There is nobody else in the world that knows Beca as well as Chloe and Chloe as well as Beca.

After their lovemaking, the women confess just how much they love each other and it makes them feel whole. It's as if nothing else in the world matters and to them, it actually doesn't. They know that if they lost everything, they would still be okay as long as they had each other. Life hasn't been exactly easy for the women but they remained strong within their relationship and they're still together and right now, they need each other more than ever. Beca's fame is increasing every day, meaning that the media wants to know everything about famous music producer Beca Mitchell and her fiancée who is a vet. Some people say things that aren't true and it hurts but Beca and Chloe know it's not true as do their friends and family who support them. Beca does what she can to protect Chloe and Chloe does what she can to protect Beca but there's only so much they can do.

Regardless of what the media throws at them, their love for one another is stronger than steel and they know they won't break. They're about to get married. If they had any doubt they were going to break, Beca wouldn't have proposed and Chloe wouldn't have said yes. They're stronger than that and they always will be. They plan to have a family one day and live that life. It'll have its challenges but they'll have each other and that's all they need. Thinking and talking about their future makes Beca and Chloe happy and excited. They can't wait to settle down but Beca is enjoying being young, free, and rich as a music producer. She's giving Chloe the world and everything in it. Beca is now able to travel with Chloe as she's always wanted to. 

Beca isn't the only rich one in the house though. Since Chloe's one of the top vets in Los Angeles, she gets quite a big paycheck at the end of every week so they have more than enough money between them. Chloe often donates her excess money to charities. Chloe doesn't want to be corrupted by money and neither does Beca but that's why they have each other - to keep themselves very grounded and humble. Chloe's always had a big heart so giving to charity is just in her nature. Beca gives money to charity as well but makes sure that she has enough to support herself and her soon-to-be wife. The last thing Beca wants is for them to struggle financially.

There are so many things going on in their lives right now but they put those things in the back of their mind because it's Saturday morning, which is their morning. Everything is perfect and they are now cuddling after some passionate lovemaking and are slowly drifting into a light sleep. Chloe is tucked up nicely in Beca's arms while Beca is gently caressing the redhead's toned back. Beca is always so in love with how Chloe feels against her. Beca memorises every bit about Chloe from the shape of her body down to where every freckle is placed on her unblemished skin. Beca takes it all in - the smell of her hair, the warmth of her body, the feel of her skin, the steadiness of her breathing, the way her body relaxes whenever Beca touches her - all of it. Beca has always been in love with Chloe's body and making love and holding it afterward is one of Beca's most favourite past times.

Chloe has always had a naturally good figure but always makes the effort to work out to maintain it as does Beca. They want to maintain a healthy body but also look good for one another and as Beca once said, "I want to look good for my baby", which turned Chloe into mush as soon as she said it. Health is important to them and they look after the other mentally, emotionally, and physically and they attend to each other's mental, emotional, and physical needs. It's who they are and it's who they will always be and Saturday mornings are the best way to reassure and reinforce that to both of them.
