All Beca wanted to do was sleep. That wasn't too much to ask, right? She had a stressful week of getting her new album sorted out as well as meeting deadlines and demands. Beca was exhausted and she planned to spend her first day off in bed sleeping on and off, eating whatever she wanted, watching whatever she wanted, and sleeping some more. But no, that wasn't as easy as Beca had imagined since her daughters Ellie and Kristie kept bothering her. They would want Beca to play with them since they didn't get much time with her in the past week. Beca said that she'd spend time with them but she just wanted to rest for now. Unfortunately, the girls didn't understand Beca's need for rest so they kept pestering the woman.

"Mama! Put your glasses on!"

"Yeah, mama! You look so cute!"

"Mama, come play with me!"

"No, come play with me, mama!"

"Mama!"

"Mama!"

It never ended. They poked and prodded Beca, trying to get her up and out of bed. Beca's wife was no help whatsoever. The redhead just sat back and laughed at her daughters interacting with their mother. Chloe knew Beca was tired but she also knew that the brunette loved spending time with her kids no matter what. Beca would often come home and want to sit on the couch or in bed with her wife and kids to unwind, something Chloe found very endearing and one of the many reasons why she loved her wife.

However, today wasn't one of those days where Beca wanted to relax with her kids. She loved her daughters more than anything but today she just wanted to have a quiet and peaceful day. The artist didn't get many of those so she cashed them in whenever she could. Unfortunately, today wasn't that day. Beca tried her best to satiate her daughters by getting up out of bed and playing with them for a bit and doing things for them, hoping that would grant Beca some peace but it didn't. Every time Beca went back to climb into bed or just as she returned to bed, the girls would come in and pester Beca further. Beca was known for having a bit of a temper but she never lashed out on her wife or daughters.

"Girls, mama needs to rest. Surely mommy can do this," Beca told her girls who were dragging Beca downstairs.

"No, mama! We need you!" Ellie stated.

"Yeah!"

Beca groaned and followed her kids downstairs and saw the toy setup they made in the living room. Beca feigned surprise and snuck back upstairs when the girls were playing with their toys. The brunette crawled back into bed and sighed with relief.

"MAMA!" Ellie cried.

"No!" Beca whimpered.

"Mama! Kristie took my lion!"

"I did not!"

"You did! Give it back!"

"No, I need it!" Kristie jumped on Beca's bed as did Ellie and the two girls began fighting for the toy.

"Girls! Stop it!" Beca ordered.

"Give it!"

"No!"

"Give it!"

"NO!"

Beca tried her best to get her kids to settle but she was too tired. The brunette didn't have the strength and that's when she couldn't take it anymore. Beca's tiredness overwhelmed her, causing her to fall back onto her pillow and cry.

"Girls, what's going on in here?" Chloe walked into the bedroom and saw Ellie and Kristie fighting while Beca was crying.

Chloe's heart broke. She thought it was amusing watching the girls drag Beca around and tease her but she knew she allowed it to go on too long once she saw her wife in tears. The redhead felt horrible.

"Ellie Mitchell! Kristie Mitchell! Get off the bed now!" Chloe yelled.

Both girls were quick to jump off the bed by their mother's tone.

"Enough bickering and throwing tantrums! You're acting like babies! Kristie, give Ellie back her lion and go downstairs and play nicely. Now, go."

Ellie and Kristie obeyed their mother and walked downstairs with pouts on their faces.

"Babe, are you okay?" Chloe went to her wife who was sobbing into her pillow.

"I just want to sleep and relax!" She whined.

"I know you do, babe. I'm sorry. I'll sort the girls out. I know how tired you are. I'm sorry for letting it get to that stage." Chloe rubbed Beca's back softly and kissed her head. "You rest, babe. I'll sort out the girls."

"Thank you..."

Chloe kissed Beca's head again then went downstairs where her daughters were playing amicably.

"Girls, come here please," Chloe spoke and the girls obeyed. "Mama's tired and upset. You need to let her rest, okay?"

"Oh, no!" Ellie gasped.

"Is mama crying?" Kristie asked.

"She's just a bit overwhelmed from working hard all week. We need to let her rest and relax so why don't we make her something nice to eat?"

"Okay," the nodded.

"Good girls. Let's see what we can make mama for lunch."

Beca was having the best time in bed as she played a game on her iPad. It had been twenty minutes since Chloe said she would sort out the girls and Beca was super grateful. For the first time that day, Beca was able to relax and unwind from her stressful week.

"Knock, knock?" Chloe spoke, knocking on the bedroom door.

"Yeah?"

The door opened and in walked Chloe and the girls with a tray of food for Beca.

"What's this?" Beca chuckled.

"The girls and I made you lunch," Chloe explained.

"Oh, wow! Great timing. I was getting hungry."

Beca sat up, allowing Chloe to place the tray on her lap.

"Sorry for upsetting you, mama," Ellie said.

"Sorry, mama."

"Oh, it's okay, dudes! Mama just has to rest sometimes that's all. Thank you for my lunch."

"That's okay." Both girls crawled up onto the bed and kissed their mother's cheek.

Beca looked up at her wife who was smiling dearly at them. Beca mouthed a thank you to Chloe who winked at her in return. Beca wasted no time in eating her lunch and by the time she had finished it, she was full and in need of a nap. An hour later, Beca was cuddled up in bed with her wife and kids fast asleep. She always did love spending her day off with her family.
