Based on the movie Life Of The Party
Chloe Beale's divorce hit her hard but it only inspired her to go back to college to finish her music degree. Chloe was going back to Barden University but she wasn't going alone - she was joining her daughter Emily. It was Emily's first year at Barden and she wasn't exactly thrilled that her mother was joining her at college but she knew she had to get used to it. Chloe didn't want to invade her daughter's college life but she couldn't help that she was so likable and that her friends wanted Chloe to hang out with them. It was a hard pill for Emily to swallow but Chloe was going to college with her.
It took a bit for Emily to get used to but she accepted it and actually enjoyed her mother being by her side. However, Chloe needed to catch up with the times a bit. She looked like a typical suburban mother so Emily had to change that fast, especially now that they had rocked up at Chloe's first college party, well her first college party in a long time.
"Okay, this needs to come off," Emily said, removing Chloe's knitted sweater that was twenty years out of fashion.
Emily had pulled her mother into the nearest bathroom to change her appearance because to Emily, it was truly awful.
"Emily!" Chloe gasped. "I've only got my undershirt on!"
"I know and it looks nice! And guess what? I'm going to undo not one, not two, but THREE buttons..." The brunette said, unbuttoning Chloe's shirt.
"Are you crazy? No, this is too much exposure!"
"Mom! Just relax, okay? If you want to fit in then you have to dress the part, too. Now, time for the hair. We need to get rid of that perm."
"This took me a good forty minutes to do this morning!" Chloe stated.
"I know and by the looks of it, it'll take me a good forty minutes to undo it all. Now, just hold still and let me work my magic..."
Chloe pouted, not happy that Emily was changing her entire appearance, an appearance that Chloe took great pride in but she had faith in her daughter. Emily wasn't one of those girls who wore skimpy clothing or anything like that. She had a good fashion sense and knew how to look good without compromising herself.
"Okay... Now you can look," Emily said.
Chloe huffed then turned to the mirror and was shocked. Chloe felt as if she was looking at herself from twenty years ago. Her hair was down, long, and wavy, she had lipstick on that matched her hair, the dark eyeliner made her bright, blue eyes pop, and she looked good in what she was wearing.
"Wow... Is... is that me?" Chloe uttered.
"Yep!" Emily smiled proudly. "Now, let's get out there. You look the part now."
Chloe smiled at herself then at her daughter, feeling confident in her body for the first time in a long time.
"Lead the way, honey," said Chloe.
Emily left the bathroom with Chloe following behind her. The music was loud, the smell of alcohol was in the air, and college students were having the time of their lives and it made Chloe feel so young.
"Hey!" Emily sang as she approached her boyfriend Benji, giving him a peck and a hug.
"Aww!" Chloe cooed.
"Hey, Chloe!" Benji smiled once Emily pulled away and stood next to her mother. "I heard you're studying here, which is amazing!"
"Thank you! It's good to be back."
"Excuse me, dude," a young woman said as she brought a case of beer behind the bar where Benji was.
"Oh, girls, I'd like you to meet my new friend Beca."
